Soller townhouse

We were a party of seven - 2 adults, three teenage kids, plus very fit and healthy grandma and grandpa. We had a great holiday here, being in the old town and really getting a sense of what it was like to live in a working Mallorquin town, rather than a pure holiday resort. However, some points to note: 1) the walk to the town square/market/shops is a bit longer than you might think - 10-15 minutes, in the heat of the day taxing - bulk food shopping is not easy, unless you had a car (which we didn't), but then parking nearby is impossible in the narrow street where the house is located ; 2) The tram to Port Soller and the beach costs 4 Euro per person aged over 4, one way - which gets pretty costly if you want to swim every day - cheaper to catch the bus, only 1.10 Euros each way, but don't run as frequently, and further to walk to than the tram - go to the Info. office near the railway station (only open in the mornings) to get bus timetable and location of bus stop; 3) The house is fine, large, clean, airy etc. - the only minor problem was there were very few large serving dishes/bowls to prepare/serve food, and a bare minimum of dinner plates - but otherwise the kitchen was well equipped, as was the rest of the house.
Despite these issues which you should be aware of, otherwise it's a great place, which we really enjoyed our stay in, and I would recommend it. I think disabled people would find it difficult though, due to the walking distances to the house, and also the three floors with pretty steep steps. Great for anyone wanting to walk the mountains, though, as on the road to the best paths. We'd stay there again, definitely.
