This very spacious accomodation includes a large fully equipped kitchen, dinning room and lounge. Three bedrooms, main bathroom and spare toilet with shower. This light and airy apartment has two large terraces both with seaview. This is an excellent location for a great holiday in one of Malta's most popular tourist destinations. Shops, restaurants and bars are abundant in this area. The bus station is down the road, ampel parking space is available and best of all the beach is a 2 minute stroll away.

This penthouse is situated in a great location. It is in the centre of Qawra. Foodshops , retails shops, bars, restaurants are all abundant in the area. Qawra is a very popular destination, it is adjacent to Bugibba and thereby within walking distance to all the entertainment. The location is also ideal for sightseeing across the islands, the bus terminus is just down the road and numerous ferries for boat trips are down by the promenade. The promenade is a two minute stroll, here one can find both a sandy as well as a rocky beach. A number of quality lidos are also very handy as well as ample water sport facilites. Best of all, you just dont need to go to far to enjoy a peacefull, relaxing holiday... the terrace is just the place to relax and unwind with your favourite glass of wine !

Another Excellent Week in Malta

Just returned from a lovely week in Mandy & Richard's penthouse apartment. The property was just as described, well presented, clean and in a fabulous location. Our host's were first class both in terms of taking our booking and making sure everything met our needs on arrival. The apartment itself couldn't have been located in a better position from our point of view - slap bang in the middle of all the amenities Qawra has to offer, but pleasantly quiet considering the bustling atmosphere below. A particular plus for us was it's proximity to the bus station which gives you access to almost the whole of Malta. The apartment is large and spacious and boasts two huge balconies which should be a big plus to sun worshippers. In response to some previous reviews, we did not have any problems with water pressure and both bathrooms benefit from their own boilers, so there was plenty of hot water for all.

All in all, we had a great week in this apartment and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting the area.

Ps. Richard was kind enough to point out that the World Powerboat Championships were in Malta during the week and tipped us off that the best vantage point would be at St. Julians Bay - a tip which we took up and enjoyed a nice couple of hours watching the boats fly by!

A great place to stay

This apartment is exactly as described and photographed. Mandy and Richard were fantastic, very friendly and extremely helpful. The apartment is great with two balconies either side so that with the doors open you get a lovely breeze flowing through.

The area has everything accessible and is not as built up as many other areas on the east coast. We had a hire car so didn't use the buses and it was very easy getting around and about although some of the roads are an adventure in their own right.

We stayed in Mandy & Richard’s apartment for 15 days in the middle of June. I must honestly say that it’s a fantastic place! First of all, it’s big enough for a family (there were 4 of us) and has all the amenities anyone – I believe – would require. Second is that it’s in the proximity to everything you need – supermarket, shops, restaurants, beach, bus station (even if we didn’t need one because we rented a car). Third – it’s QUIET in spite of all those “proximities” written above and as soon as it’s a penthouse – no one looks at your window! You are above it all – for me personally it’s the best place to be! And last but not least – the view is magnificent! Both terraces have a sea view and especially one of them – the best place to watch sunset with the cup of coffee or a glass of wine! We’re looking forward to come again. And don’t forget that such a tiny island has so many things to offer! Neolithic sites were of the greatest importance for us – we didn’t miss Summer Solstice on 21st of June (I feel sorry for everyone in Stonehenge?, we had it all on Malta!!!)

Gail,Les+girls from Liverpool would like to first apologise for the delay in writing this review,we where in Malta 14 may till 28 may,we stayed the first week in Mellieha and the second in Qawra in Richard+Mandys beautiful penthouse,we go a lot to Malta and this apartment would take some beating,we will definetly go again and reccomend it to our family and friends.The place is so big,light and airy,the views from both very large balconies is amazing,we took lots of photos from there,even the sun setting,the two lots of patio doors and fast fans kept us lovely and cool,the hole place was very clean and bright,we were right in the best part as we had shops,bars,bus station,supermarkets amongst other things on our doorstep but being on the top floor didnt hear any noise at all and it was lovely at night seeing it all lit up and theres a car park opposite so no problems parking either,it has everything you need,a home from home,even got a bottle of wine on arrival,we give it a 5 star rating,thanks Richard+Mandy for our lovely holiday,the only thing i found could be improved is the speed of the bedroom fans,if they could go a little faster,regards,Gail+family

perfect location,very big app.,good for family, who is not going to cook . Some not nice thing were found. App. was not clean ,dust everywhere, even on the shelves with glasses. Kitchen wasn't ready( no new sponge,durty towels ,plates and ...),broken iron board and table on the terrace as well. No gas in barbecue, so you need your own). No soup and liquid for toilet, in bathroom tube i found absolutely awful mat for your safety ^-))....( just through it out on the terrace)Windows were opening hardly. Mold in the coners. No condition( just fan), no dishwasher, no DVD, no TV chanels in english
What's more...
ants inside my bedroom, not to much, but enough for became friends with them. I don not know may be it is just normal for maltise, but i have rented app. in Paris, Vienna,Ireland, Karlovy Vary and never see the same amount of problem in one place
Owner's Response: We are very surprised with the comments that these guests made !!! The clients never mentioned any of these problems during their stay with us. So we really cannot understand why they are saying these things. As many of our previous guests have mentioned the apartment is always kept very clean and the kitchen is definetely big enough to cook in. They must have failed to read the description prior to their arrival as we have never mentioned that this apartment has dishwasher or dvd or aircondition. Comments like this hurt us very much since they are very untruthfull, they certainly could have mentioned something to us when we helped them with their luggage on their departure. However, these kind of guests, whose aim must be something beyond , do not discourage us and we always air to give our guests the best experiance that we possible can.
