The “Salento Sunrise” holiday apartment is situated in Aradeo, a friendly village in Salento. The apartment, all accurately furnished in an elegant style, boasts four wide bedrooms comfortably giving lodging to seven people. Two master bedrooms have balconies on the front of the estate, while the other two bedrooms look into a bright cloister with typical Mediterranean vegetation. In the family, colourful living room there is an antique sofa for three seats and four armchairs. There are two bathrooms: the biggest one has a relaxing bathtub, while in the other, though smaller, there is a refreshing shower. A lovely kitchen, with dining area for eight people, is equipped for self catering. From the kitchen, stairs lead to a spacious laundry and to a gorgeous roof-garden full of green, with a picturesque view over terraces all around and over the street that leads to the centre of the village. Downstairs, on the ground floor, there is a garage.

Notes to the rental rates

• 1. All prices listed include bed linen, towels, gas, water,electricity, plan excursions and tourist maps. 2. A non refundable deposit of 30% on the whole rental rate is required at the time of booking with full balance payable eight weeks prior the stay. If the booking is made within eight weeks of the holiday start date, the full rental will be payable immediately. 3. A refundable security deposit of € 200,00 is required at the check-in. 4.Rental rates 2009 are available on request.

The “Salento Sunrise” apartment is only few steps from shops, bars, restaurants and all centre’s activities and five minutes of walking from the amazing countryside that surrounds Aradeo. With regard to this, guests of the “Salento Sunrise” apartment can freely enjoy two bicycles, down in the garage, for nice excursions. During the day, on the roof garden, they can sunbathe, while watched children have fun, refreshing in a child swimming pool. At night, guests can enjoy the barbecue for nice cook-out. If they like receiving taste of typical Mediterranean cooking such as a delicious “pignata di legumi”, or watching to owners while making the famous “maccheroni and orecchiette”, maybe trying themselves for fun, please contact the owner for details. Welcome present like a warm hug for guests at their arriving, that is fresh sweet oranges and special home-made almond paste cakes.

Cultural Details

Aradeo has greek-byzantine origins: the name comes from the Greek word “charadreon” that means “land crossed by streams”. Indeed, Aradeo is on a fertile area rich of ground water and this may be the reason why it has a good production of oil, wine and flour to make excellent home-made pasta. Spending a holiday here is a good opportunity to try really genuine food. The historical centre is very little but accurately restored: the XVIIth cent. village’s ancient door, the XVIIIth cent. Annunciation church, the XVIIth cent. St. John’s column. Next to historical architecture, there are also important modern works like the town hall and the theatre, where all the most relevant cultural activities and social events of the town take place: concerts, national performances, local carnivals. Summer is then the right period for every night popular festivals called “sagre”, where everybody have fun tasting typical Salento food, drinking good wine and dancing the famous “pizzica”.
