Things to do in the Local Area: The Jalon Valley is a fascinating place to explore. Described as a 'Paradise between two mountains' It is a renowned wine growing region and from the villa you can look down to the vinyards on the valley floor. Further up the valley sides are numerous almond groves - our villa is located in an almond grove and the blossom in January and February is delightful. There are many walks and there is a guidebook in the villa giving details of interesting places to visit. In the foothills of the Sierra Bernia you can visit the Donkey Sanctuary and the Iris Farm. There are the Caves at Benidoleig and a short drive away you will find 2 excellent Golf Courses as well as Go Karting in Teulada and the Safari Park at La Vergel. If you enjoy birdwatching there are many interesting species to be seen around the villa such as redcaps, goldfinches and even the hoopoe with its striking foliage. In the afternoons if it's very quiet the swallows will swoop down to drink water from the pool!

Golf Courses, Watersports, Attractions etc.: There is an excellent golf course at La Sella Golf and Country Club. It has an attractive Club House where lunch, dinner and Tapas can be enjoyed. Tennis and other sports are available for use by Non Members for a small fee. The Terra Mitica Theme Park is located some 20 minutes south down the motorway and is great fun for all the family. An evening pass is available in the summer months at a reduced rate and offers great value for money. Next to Terra Mitica is the new Mundomar Animal Park. Aqualandia is also situated near the theme park and is a great day out. Our nearset beaches are in Javea, Benissa and Moraira and offer a variety of water sports incuding Scuba diving, windsurfing, water skiing, jet skiing and sailing. Valencia about an hours drive north, is a city with a wealth of charms from it's medieaval old quarter to the brand new 'City of Arts and Sciences' as well as a huge Aquarium.
