CasaPuente is a rarity. The large manor house with its separate cottage are set in a secluded walled garden, but located a stone throws from all the amenities of the Alora’s Puente district and 5 minutes walk from the train station: the best of both worlds! Both properties have been restored in such a way that they maintain their original character but include all the modern facilities. The mature gardens in which the properties are set have a wide variety of plants and fruit trees and also include a large barbecue area and swimming pool with wooden terracing and pool bar. Malaga. Granada, Ronda and Seville are all within easy reach. The nearest beach is about 40km and Malaga Airport is 30km. Both are easily accessible. The main house, which is over a hundred years old, retains much of its charm with its original beamed ceilings, doors, windows and original hand-painted floor tiles upstairs. The cottage is set in the gardens some 20 meters from the main house, near the private pool.

The spectacular beaches of the Costa Del Sol are about 40km away (about 35 mins by car, or about the same via the local train service whose station is 5 mins walk from the property). There are several inland and coastal golf courses within a 40km radius of the properties. Alora is ideally situated for sightseeing. The whole area offers wonderful opportunities for relaxing, walking, photography, bird-watching, painting as well as a wide range of more active pursuits such as biking, climbing, horse riding and water sports. El Chorro gorge is an amazing natural phenomenon and natural park about 12 kilometres from Alora. A large variety of birds makes this area a “twitchers” paradise.

Charming main house and cottage very well equiped for all our needs.Huge grounds with fruit trees,and other plants casting nice shady areas,very good sized pool{ you will not be disapointed},ideal location for good sized supermarket,chemist,bank,places to eat etc.Mike and Maria are both very helpfull with a wealth of information,and nothing was to much trouble,but they also let you get on with your holiday without imposing as some owners do. I am writing this review wishing I was back and envious of the guests who are there now ,because I know what a fantestic time they should be having.

Upon arrival at the manor house we were lost for words. The vastness of the overall property layout was amazing. Firstly the well-maintained manor house with original beams & flooring to the garden with beautiful plants & fruit trees with a lovely outdoor BBQ area. Nesting beyond was the cottage with a lovely swimming pool to relax on hot summer days. The location was perfect for all amenities & perfect if you wanted a holiday to go sightseeing with the train station only 5 minutes walk away. This takes you into Malaga which has the big shopping areas & then travel further on by train & onto the lovely beaches of the Costa Del Sol with again more opportunities to shop till you drop. The Beaches were amazing with lots of room for the children to play safely in the water & a huge selection of restaurants & bars. Situated above the manor house on a hillside you will find a lovely castle with great oportunities for breath taking photographs of the surrounding countryside. This property is ideal if you wanted a place to recharge & live the relaxing life of the spanish people. The local Cafe offers you the chance to meet the local people whilst enjoying great food & drink day & night. This was a great holiday & would highly recommend this property as a base to travel & explore the south of spain whether by car or by the local train service

Fantastic family holday

With kids and elderly grandparents to satisfy, it was always going to be tricky, but Casapuente managed just that!. The kids spent most of the time in the pool, though we did manage a couple of trips to Malaga in the train which was a treat in itself. We had hired a car but in the end we hardly used it as everything was so close by. The main house itself was charming and really homely and having the other bungalow meant that although we were all together we each had our own private spaces. We usually holiday all together and this was one of the few that got a unanimous 'thumbs up'. I'd certainly recommend this place to anybody (but not until I've made our reservation for next year!)
