The house of Agrikia and its wonderful garden are to be found in Paros, the main island of the Cycladic strain, in the heart of the Aegean sea. The island is called “the pearl of the Aegean” for its white houses, the churches and monasteries, its gorgeous white beaches and for the enjoyable style of life. Agrikia is at the entrance of the town of Aliki, in the southern part of the island of Paros. Aliki is an enchanting fisher’s town that is built on a historical amphitheatre. The town is in the southern part of the island and is renowned for its charming atmosphere and its stunning beaches, where the sand is as fine as powder and the water clear like a crystal. Along the streets of the port, you can find traditional Greek tavernas and other restaurants. There are several supermarkets and groceries stores, a football court, a tennis court and several playgrounds for children. You can also find a diving centre and rent cars or scooters.

Agrikia is a small and charming family-run establishment that was built in recent years. Warm and welcoming, it’s the ideal spot for a wonderful and truly relaxing vacation. The superb view of the sea and the nearby mountains, the vibrant garden and the genuine atmosphere will win you over in an instant. Agrikia has 2 studios for 3 or 4 people with their own kitchenette. There is the possibility to put an extra bed or a small bed for children if necessary. During your staying you can enjoy Agikia’s vast garden (over 1000 square meters) with its variety of aromatic plants, olive trees and flowers where you can savour your daily breakfast prepared with local products typical of the island. Agrikia is absolutely ideal for families and children. Only 200 meters away from you room you can swim in the clear waters of Aliki and get a perfect suntan on the beach. You can also explore the other beaches of the island that are equally as beautiful.

The island of Paros has some very interesting religious architecture such as the so-called “Church of the hundred doors”, the beautiful Panagia Ekatodapiliania. Several monasteries and ancient towns like Parkia can be highly interesting to visit, you can also enjoy some enchanting, typically Greek fisherman ports like Naussa. For Nature lovers, you can visit a splendid valley with a lush garden where millions of butterflies come to mate every year… In Paros you can practice any water sports, like snorkelling or diving. Classes with certified teachers are available if you are interested. Beaches like Chryssi Akti, Nea Chryssi Akti, Santa Maria and Pounda are perfect for windsurfing, in fact every year famous races take place there. Paros also offers wonderful hikes and horseback riding paths, both on the coast and in the mountains.

How to get to Agrikia ?: By aeroplane: two daily flights with Olympic Airlines. By boat or ferryboat, there are several departures a day (and some at night) from the port of Pireas. Tickets can be purchased directly at the port. If you wish, we can explain to you how to get to Alyki.

A Wonderful, Relaxing Place

I found Agrikia to be exactly like it's description; the rooms were clean and well maintained, the facilities were excellent and the location was accurately described. The garden is beautiful and contains some really interesting plants (including Swiss Cacti!). If the beach wasn't so enticing, I would have been happy to spend all day lounging on the day beds under the canopy by the palm tree.....

Marcello and Muriel are SUPERB hosts! The breakfast was good and fresh and we enjoyed several different homemade cakes each day (and got a recipe for one particular favourite) As well as providing prompt and charming service, M&M were interesting and easy to chat with.

Aliki is a small, but busy village with a good many tavernas all selling good, honest Greek food. They pretty much all have the same menu but it's all delicious and we did not have a bad meal during our two weeks there. If you are after a beach holiday then Aliki is perfect, however, if you want to see more of Paros, although the bus service is surprisingly efficient, i would recommend you hire a car so you can explore both Paros and Anti Paros at your leisure.

Two things I would do differently before I return: reserve a cab to pick me up from the port on arrival as that was a desperate scrum and we ended up almost hi-jacking a cab going to Aliki with another couple who had pre-booked. I am sure M&M would book a cab for you. I would also hire a car for my whole visit as I found sitting on the beach a tad boring after a couple of days.....

Agrikia is a charming, wonderful place and I will definately return one day!

very nice and clean rooms.
breakfast simple but very good with home baked cakes every morning.
beautiful scenery.
very friendly and helpful owners. had a lot of tips where to go and what to do.
beautiful sunset from the roof.

we stayed for a week and had a fantastic quiet and relaxing time .

Paros is a really beautiful island with many nice beaches. The water ist totally clear and wonderful. The house of Agrikia is in a littel village, which is really nice. A few minutes and you are on the littel habor, where you find nice restaurants and bars. Alyki is not a very touristplace, what wa wonderful. The house of Agrikia was really nice and the landord couple are a really nice and courteous. The rooms are clean and really cosy. I really recommend this place. I had a very good time there and would come back.
