A new modern bungalow situated close to the village of Oughterard, known as the gateway to Connemara and only 30km from Galway City where you can enjoy fabulous bars, restaurants and entertainment for all ages. Locally you can enjoy various walks, fishing on the numerous lakes, golfing at the 18 hole golf club, swimming at the local pool or at many of the local beaches, view the historic Aughnanure Castle or take a boat trip to Ashford Castle in County Mayo (seasonal). Owner lives in a self contained apartment adjoining the house and they are available for any assistance and information you may require.

Three retired couples, who have not visited in Ireland prior to this trip, enjoyed this home away from home very much. It was modern, comfortable, and it was easy to plan day trips to a number of interesting sites. The owner had furnished the home with all the necessaties needed to make our stay memorable. The home is located in between two small towns (not in walking distance) that had good pubs, grocery stores, and numerous places to eat with a variety of foods. The owners parents live close by and were a pleasure to meet and talk with. They were very helpful. We would certainly try to book into this home if we return to Ireland.
