This stunningly charming and stylishly reformed Andalucian town-house is located a stone´s throw away from the beach and all local amenities, including the best tapas bars, the restaurants, shops, supermarkets, bus-stop and internet sites. The property, set along the cobbled streets of the old village, is beautifully designed, stone-built and a spacious single-storey with an equally spacious terrace, providing a comfortable, tranquil and relaxing environment. The kitchen opens out onto a cosy and shady courtyard. The sleeping quarters and living rooms which are ample and spacious, offer a variety of living arrangements according to individual needs and includes a mezzanine with Moroccan lounge beneath. The terrace benefits from all-day sun, views of the sea and mountains, ample and shaded Morrocan-style seating and comprises two further rooms offering separate living space. La Herradura is a traditional Andalucian village set in a beautiful bay with the Mediterranean to one side and a mountainous range on the other. It forms part of the Costa Tropical, one of the more attractive coastlines of Andalucia and marks the start of a protected coastal nature reserve, offering beautiful landscape and walks to pristine beaches. A wide pebble beach with rugged rocks at either end and a stretch of sand, lined with 'chiringuitos' shapes the entire bay; and beyond the village, a beautiful range of mountains which makes this spot truly striking. Characteristically quiet and tranquil, La Herradura hosts numerous fiestas - 'San José', 'Las Cruces','San Juan' (when the beach is alight with bonfires and camping overnight on the beach is permitted)...etc. Enjoying all-year sun and blue skies, and the proximity of the Sierra Nevada only 1.5hrs.'drive away, means you can ski or sunbathe. The possibilities offered here make this village an exceptional destination.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rates are based on a maximum of 8 people sharing. The house can accommodate an extra 4/5 people, comfortably even without having to use the living areas, however there will be a charge of 100 euros per person per week.

    A booking deposit to the value of 50% of the rental total will be required and is non-refundable from 2 months to the arrival date; the remainder of the total sum is to be payed one month before arrival.
    A security deposit may be required for large parties and longer-term stays.
  • Reductions during specific seasons will be at our discretion.
    And we will offer reductions for stays exceeding the minimum 2-day or one-week stays.
    Equally, we can offer longer stays over the Aumn/Winter/Spring seasons - for 1-3 month stays (or longer) . Please get in touch with us if you are interested in longer lets .

Gorgeous village house...

I fell in love with the house before I had even opened the front door, the photos are excellent & the house is so much more when you get there. If you like quirky you will love this home with it's charming ambience. The interior has a Moorish influence coupled with the owners unique style & oozes character. Beautiful Moorish archways & mezzanine levels are just some of the features. There is bags of space for a whole family & more, indoors & outdoors. The upper terrace is frankly stunning with loads of seating areas, shaded & sunny & superb views across the beautiful horseshoe bay of La Herradura. The house was immaculate on arrival & plenty of bedding & towels left for us should we have required more.
The town itself is delightful & retains its Spanish charm with gorgeous cobbled streets & white washed townhouses. It's great for all ages, loads of excellent places to eat & there is something for all tastes & budgets.
Recommended places to try out, for great service, tapas & an authentic Spanish feel try El Salon (the nearest bar to the house as well), for a relaxing meal on the beach it's got to be El Bambu, amazing fish served there but not the cheapest & for a late night boogie, La Cochera is a must, a ten minute walk to the East side of the beach.
I would highly recommend this property & the town itself for a holiday. In fact I hope to book in again with a group of friends in September if there is availability.
Have a fantastic stay, I can't wait to go back...

my wife, two children and I stayed for a night in this beautifully renovated home-we wished that we could have stayed longer but our intinerary prevented us from doing so. it has a terrific location in the middle of the old district, near the beach and the market (fish, meats, fresh fruit, etc). we enjoyed our siesta on the terrace and our breakfast in the courtyard. the home is spotless and provides a comfortable, private refuge to relax and plan your next move about town. highly recommended.

What a house!

I spent a week in this house and it was fantasic! The rooms were clean with everything provided including an excess of towels and bedding! Beautiful inside with distinct features and individuality............. it is so large you often found yourself getting lost and discovering new parts and enterances all the time! The roof terrace is fantastic and a lovely place to relax! The ensuitehas a superb wet room and wonderful shower!

I would recommend to anybody and hope to go back soom. The house is located in a lovely quiet area of town with easy access to the beach and sea. Close by is the lovely El Salon Bar Bar (run by the lovely Antonio) which offers fantastic service and tapas. Herradura is a fantstic place with lovely scenery and very friendly people! I can not recommend the house or the place enough! Just wished I lived their!
