An oasis in the city centre. The self catering apartment is set in a traditional Andalucian style house, restored in 2005. It is convenient for all Jerez attractions. There is a pool in the Alhambra inspired patio at the rear of the house. Perfect as a base to visit Seville, Cadiz, the beaches of Costa de la Luz, and inland countryside.

Flamenco: Jerez prides itself as the cradle of flamenco. Apart from the world famous festival in February every year, there are classes at all levels for students of dance, guitar and of singing throughout the year. The apartment is in one of the traditional flamenco neighbourhoods and there are many local bars and clubs which welcome anyone interested in the art.

Horses: There are a couple of very good horse shows in Jerez - one at the Real Escuela de Arte Ecuestre - that is the Royal Equestrian School - where the spanish Olympic medal winning dressage team trains, and the other at the Yeguada de la Cartuja - where the pure bred spanish horses have been bred for 500 years. In May there is the annual ´Horse fair´ where horses and carriages parade amidst the spanish ladies in their flouncy spotty dresses. There is an international best of breed show run simultaneously with this popular local fiesta. In June you can see the wagon train of mule drawn carts and costumed riders of the Rocio leaving on their pilgrimage to the Doñana national park. In September there is a wine harvest festival. Horse events feature prominently. The participants are the local riding schools, the horse breeders, and the many local stables as horses are really a local passion, as well as mounted bands, military and police. Local stables offer rides on the beach.

Golf: Sherry Golf is open to visitors, with an excellent English speaking pro, and is only 5 minutes drive away

Other Activities: Flamenco lessons - dance, guitar or singing. Spanish language lessons.

This was our third stay in Jerez and although we didn't venture out much during the day we had a lovely, relaxing holiday.

However there are lots to see and do in and around Jerez. Seville and Cadiz are in easy reach by train as well as many small seaside towns, not forgeting the white villages such as Arcos de la Frontera. There is so much, it's a good idea to research and plan your holiday.

The appartment was beautiful and in a great location with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. There's a Carrefour supermarket just five minutes away for if you need anything.

The property description and pictures are very accurate but when you get there and walk through and see the appartment and pool you definately feel the "WOW" factor, I couldn't fault it in any way.

The owners were very freindly and helpful, this also made the holiday more enjoyable. Thank you Honor and Roger.

Fantastic location, the appartment is spacious, clean and well equipped. As well as your own patio, the use of the pool and roof terrace is a real bonus. The owners could not have been more welcoming and help full.
Supermarket,local fruit, veg and fish market close by.
Beautiful town square to enjoy a drink and watch the world go by.
We took trips to the beach, saville and cadiz all very easy to get to by the train station 15 min walk away.

A gem in Jerez

CasaLeonor is an absolute gem. Situated a couple of minutes from the main square of Jerez down a quiet back street you will be delightfully surprised as you step inside it’s impressive entrance. Honor and Roger have lovingly transformed this magnificent building from the forlorn state it had become into a beautiful home for both themselves and their guests. Each apartment is individual and is fully equipped with modern kitchens and bathrooms – wherever possible the old timbers, tiles and traditional materials have been preserved and sympathetically retained alongside contempory architectural styling.

There can be few town centre apartments that can boast a swimming pool – but here at CasaLeonor you can take a dip to cool off and then sunbathe either on your own private patio, or take advantage of the vast roof top terrace complete with its own hammock and comfortable outdoor furniture – combined with a drink and a good book what more could you ask for.

Jerez is perfectly situated inland from the coast so you have the advantage of sophisticated towns such as Cadiz and Seville within a comfortable driving distance along with the smaller coastal resorts with their pretty ports and restaurants. However be warned, if you prefer neon lights and a more touristy feel to your holidays you could be disappointed…gentle promenading is more the scene.

I can wholeheartedly recommend staying at CasaLeonor – a tranquil oasis in one of Spain’s most interesting of regions.

Excellent apartment to rent.

We stayed for ten days in this wonderful apartment. It is ideally situated for exploring Jerez, the coast and further afield. The shops and restaurants are close by, yet it is in a quiet street so you do not feel that you are in a busy town. There is plenty to do in Jerez itself, and the buses and trains give good access to Seville, the coast and places inland. You could rent a car, but you can easily manage without.
The property is beautifully furnished and the owners are friendly and helpful. The pool was a real bonus and there is also a roof terrace which was a perfect spot for reading and relaxing. We did not do a lot of cooking - there are plenty of restaurants and bars, with a range of prices to suit every budget - so we did not use the facilities a great deal. However, if you wanted to cook there was a microwave (which could be used as a grill or oven) and a hotplate.
My only reservation in recommending this is that other people will book and that it won't be available for us to use again!
