17th century granary transformed in the late 1800's into an elegant villa and recently fully restored. The villa of 350 square meters (3700 sq ft) is located on a small hilltop in the centre of the olive groves and vineyards of a 12 hectare (25 acre) working farm, with splendid views of the Valdichiana. Accommodation – available as a single unit or divided into two fully equipped apartments – includes five bedrooms, four baths, large main hall with vaulted ceilings, intimate sitting room with fireplace, ample dining room, two kitchens, large terrace overlooking the valley and arcaded portico on the lower floor, swimming pool. . Total sleeping capacity is 12, (10 in 5 bedrooms plus 2 in a double sofa-bed). Montepulciano's position in southern Tuscany is an ideal base for excursions to the major artistic, cultural and recreational resources in Tuscany, Umbria and Northern Latium.

We just loved the place, watching the sunrise by the pool surrounded by tall trees, enjoying the great sightseeing of the area, and then sitting on the terrace with a breathtaking view of the Valley at sunset are going to be memories we will carry forever. Francesca is a great host, making our stay ever so enjoyable. The house is a piece of Italian history in a beautiful setting. Each room tells a story. Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks Francesca for helping us discover this treasure.

Breathtaking...Charming...a Tuscan jewel!

Our stay at Villa Le Caggiole exceeded our expectations! We cannot put in words the beauty, the charm and the ultimate in relaxation that was found here in Montepulciano. Our large group (11 crazy americans!) was so easily accommodated - each of us found a place to relax and have some quiet time and then the pool and large patio were perfect for our together time. The villa was immaculate and the kitchen very well equipped for cooking for large parties.
The proximity to so many Tuscan towns was perfect for day-long excursions that got us back in time for dinner and drinks in the evening. Each morning we were in awe of the beautiful sunrise and the amazing view of the countryside. The pictures do not do justice to the incredible beauty of this place.

Thanks to Francesca and Jim for being perfect hosts!

Wonderful place to stay

This is a great place to stay. The house is more beautiful than the pictures show, each room has high ceilings, tile floors, and are nicely furnished. The pool was clean and wonderful, and the veranda had a wonderful view and provided a great location to eat dinner at.

We had 12 people, including 3 children, in the house, and there was plenty of room. The bathrooms and kitchen were nicely set up, so you felt comfortable. The pool was wonderful for the children.

The hosts were just great--very friendly, but also left us space, since they live next door. They knew of a local woman who could cook excellent local meals for us for a reasonable price, which we could then eat on our beautiful veranda. Any problems we had, they were very helpful. Plus they just seemed like nice and interesting people we wanted to talk with.

Montepulciano is a great base for exploring and experiencing Tuscany. We rented bicycles and had a great time riding to the many little towns nearby, on either very smooth main (but not too busy) roads, or on gravel roads. It is hilly, but that just makes the meal at the end that much better! You want a rental car to stay here.

I would definitely rent this place again. I definitely recommend it.
