The Picasso and Dali apartments are perfectly situated in the trendy El Born area of Barcelona. This picturesque and cultural part of the city with it's vibrant café culture and bar scene is perfect for families, friends and couples alike. Small, intimate, friendly and funky, 'Born' (as those in the know call it) is where just about everything fashionable is happening now - in art, clothes design, interior decoration, smart restaurants, cool cocktail lounges and chic wine bars. The heart and soul of this community is the wide open, tree-lined Passeig del Born. From the thirteenth to the seventeenth centuries, this was pretty much the main square of Barcelona, the site of the city's public festivities, which included jousting tournaments, carnivals and even the burning of heretics during the Inquisition.

The Dali Apartment is literally next door to Picasso and should you have a large group it is possible to reserve both apartments. Individually this apartment sleeps 1-4 people. There are 2 x double bedrooms, the first one with a double bed and the second one with twin beds that can be pushed together to make a double, or left separate as 2 x singles. Please note however that bedroom one is an internal room and doesn't have a window this is can be beneficial because it is very quiet. In the lounge there is a flat TV screen with UK Sat TV which includes music channels and UK radio & free WI-FI. And a small but sufficient kitchen / dining area with seating for 4. PLEASE NOTE: Dali does not have any out door space and there are 2 small windows one in the first bedroom and one in the lounge and this can make the apartment a little dark but every effort has been made to brighten it and certainly is not a problem in the spring / summer with glorious sunshine outside.

The Picasso and Dali apartments boast one of the best postcodes in Barcelona being situated in the trendy El Born area. The very chic and fashionable El Born is sandwiched between Via Laietana and Barceloneta and is served by the metro stop Jaume I. The famous Las Ramblas and Barceloneta Beach are both a pleasant 10 minute walk away. However unfolding languidly just to the east of C./ Blanqueria is Parc Ciutadella. The grandest entrance to the park is the Arc de Triomf, designed for the 1888 Exhibition. Passing through the grand gates and into this green, tranquil oasis provides a welcome respite from the city centre. One glimpse of this fanciful, Baroque-style fountain and you’ll probably guess Gaudí had a hand in its creation. If Picasso is more your thing, you are a mere 2 minutes away from the museum. Simply step out of your front door into the medieval back streets and wander around a collection of his earliest works.

    10% discount is given to week long bookings (7 nights+)
  • How to book: 70% is due at time of booking by bank transfer to a SPANISH account
    The remaining 30% is due on arrival in cash in Euros.
  • The meeter and greeter is English, she has lived in Barcelona for a number of years and can provide in-valuable local knowledge of shops, restaurants, bars, day-trips and she will show you around the apartment and ensure that you are settled and answer any questions. She speaks both Spanish and English.

    Please note: If guest are departing your day of arrival check in time is at 4pm, however it is always possible to drop off luggage at 11am and return by 4pm (sometimes earlier) when the apartment will have been cleaned and prepared for you.

    Check out time is strictly 11am. However if you do have a later flight, we offer a luggage storage facility for 25 euros for the day. We will pick up your luggage at 11am and return it to you at a convenient time.

The apartment sits in a charmingly old-world, pedestrian part of El Borne, in the heart of Barcelona, with countless cafés, boutiques and restaurants right at your doorstep.It's a lovely 5 minute stroll to the city park, the Santa Catarina market, Museo Picasso and the Gothic cathedral.In 10 minutes you can walk to the famous Las Ramblas strip, Plaza Catalunya, or the beach at Barceloneta it really is in the best area and we walked everywhere. The apartment was perfect for us with Sky TV, wifi and sufficiently equipped for cooking, although we didn't. It is spotless and our check in like many have said here before was very helpful, friendly and on time. I would recommend it to couples or friends and we will be back. Thanks for a wonderful stay at a great price.

Superb location, great apartment, clean, tidy, not spacious but we were here to go out, which we did! Loved the cava bar, loved Rubi and loved Santa Catarina market. Lunch and dinner there was a real pleasure, the food was amazing. All in all a great weekend, great fun, like other reviews found here the price of this apartment for this area is great, check in was also brilliant, we were met out of the taxi and told everything we needed to know.

My husband and I stayed in Dali last week and we loved it, yes we did have to climb up a few flights of stairs but George helped with our luggage and yes it is a little dark with 2 small windows but i was grateful for that as it was very hot and very bright and when we were inside all i wanted to do was close the curtains to block out the sun, read a book and watch tv, we live in France and having bbc was wonderful. Our reservation was easy and it was pointed out that Dali does have an internal room and no outdoor space but for the price it suited us just fine. The location is absolutely brilliant we walked, walked and walked armed with useful information on what to do and not to do provided by George. Can't thank you enough and we will come back especially at that price.

The born area seems to be the trendiest part of the city and we certainly enjoyed the wonderful cocktail bars, tapas, restaurants and clothes shops. There is plenty of culture to be had as well the Picasso museum and the Textile Museum which has a great little café with a terrace attached to it there is also right around the corner a beautiful cathedral which you can wander around in and look around. Dali apartment is located right, slap, bang in the middle of all this and the location couldn't be better. The apartment itself is nice inside, decorated well, very, very clean and had everything we needed. Claire was quick to point out on reservation that the 2nd bedroom was internal and lacked light but we found we slept well there. All in all a great little apartment, not grand but certainly not shabby, great price, wonderful check in service and absolutely no complaints. Thanks a million.
