This luxury short term or long term rental apartment is located on a very quiet street, 2 minutes walk to the Champs Elysees. It has 118m (1270ft) of living space with 3m (10 feet) ceiling height. It is very airy, bright and quiet. It is located on the fourth floor with elevator (fifth floor USA) of a 1930 building of very good standing with concierge and protected by a digicode and video surveillance. It has been entirely renovated (immaculate marble bathrooms, limestone kitchen floors, Miele appliances, washer, dryer, refrigerator with automatic ice maker). It includes: two bedrooms, each with a EU queen bed (160cm/63in by 200cm), a large living area, a dining area with a table that can be extended to sit 8 people, and a large entirely equipped eat-in kitchen with a table on which four people can sit. HS internet, WiFi, Ipod/MP3 docking station, a free phone with an answering machine, free unlimited calls (landlines only) in France, EU, USA (except Hawaii & Alaska) and Canada.

The apartment is ideally located in the 16th district of Paris, at the edge of the 8th just behind the Arc of Triomphe. Champs Elysees, Trocadero and Eiffel Tower, are all at easy walking distance. So are shopping areas: Av. Victor Hugo, Champs Elysées (English newspapers, movies and books readily available), Av. Montaigne & Faubourg St Honoré. You will enjoy the great number of very good restaurants and cafés, markets & fine food shops. Excellent bakery (and LeNôtre bakery & fine food emporium 2 blocks away), Butchery, Supermarket, Pressing, Drugstore, ... are all 2 min away. 10min walk to the beautiful St Didier covered food and flower market -- 15min walk to famous President Wilson street market. The closest subway stop a block away (direct line to Louvre and Marais) Secured public parking possible a block away. The 'Etoile' Rer/Metro station will lead you everywhere in the city & to the Chateau de Versailles, to Disneyland Paris or St Germain Castle.

The apartment is 15 to 20min walk to Trocadero and its array of museums: Museum of Modern Art, Fashion & Clothing Museum (luxurious outfits from the 18th century to the great modern day designers), Naval Museum (models of famous 18th century sailing ships to tales of shipwrecks), Architecture Museum, Cineaqua (Largest Aquarium in Europe), French Monument Museum, Wine museum (located in the heart of an old monastery's wine cellar with tasting & food), French Cinemathèque, the famous Guimet Asiatic Arts Museum ... Also, not to be missed, The Crystal Room. A nice window shopping stroll down the Champs Elysées will lead you to the Grand Palais, Avenue Montaigne, place de la Concorde, Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre and -- on your left: Madeleine area, rue Royale & Faubourg St Honoré. On your way back to the apartment stop for drinks or ice-cream at one of the many cafés terasses or famous Ladurée café avenue des Champs Elysées.

The apartment is 10min walk to the main entrance of the Bois de Boulogne: Paris' largest park and, according to Frommers 'One of the most spectacular parks in Europe': jogging, row-boating, bicycling, picnics, horseback riding, shooting, restaurants ... and, for kids, Jardin d'Acclimatation: French icon Guignol puppet theatre, a zoo, amusement park, pony rides, golf driving range, and a narrow-gauge railway. It is 15 to 20min walk to the beautiful Trocadero Gardens (children playground, old carrousel, fountains ... and, straight across, the Eiffel Tower). 2 subway stops from classy Jardins du Ranelagh: with poneys rides & Guignol theatre, Marmottan Monet museum (vast collection of Impressionist works second only to that of Musée d'Orsay -- museum offers discovery tours for children) & 18th Century Balzac's house museum with period furnishing, writings & personal belongings-- for design lovers, Foundation Le Corbusier, and Mallet-Stevens street entirely build by the architect.

This apartment far exceeded our expectations and was the perfect base for our family's week-long holiday in Paris. The apartment is in an ideal location - a quiet building in a quiet street, yet very close to L'Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysses, and within easy walking distance to Paris' finest parks and sites. Inside, the recent refurbishment has created a luxurious space - it is spacious and light, super-clean and well equipped and beautifully furnished, comfortable and stylish - a marriage of classic architecture and contemporary design. The new appliances in the kitchen and lounge are excellent, and the apartment includes all the items one could need, including beautiful linen. The owners provided an inspiring collection of guides, books and DVDs to entertain us after long days walking and enjoying the wonders of Paris. They also provided great details of nearby restaurants and shops - very helpful when you don't have a long time to look around. Definitely recommended for those wanting a luxury stay in Paris.
