La Haute Addeville is situated in the heart of the US Airborne D-Day sector, just off the D913 road leading to Utah Beach with its wonderful D-Day museum, just beside the N13 Cherbourg-Paris highway, with easy access by road & rail.
An ideal base from which to explore the nearby locations forever associated with the 'Screaming Eagles' of the 101st Airborne. Angoville-au-Plain, where stained glass windows & blood-stained pews in the local church immortalize the heroic lifesaving deeds of 501st PIR medics Kenneth Moore and Robert Wright. Just a few miles north lies Sainte Mère Eglise, with its effigy of John Steele suspended from the church tower & the superb US Airborne Museum. Several miles west is La Fière, scene of the 82nd Airborne Division's epic battle for control of the vital causeway, while all around numerous historical sites perpetuate the achievements of the 'All Americans.'
The Pointe du Hoc, 'Bloody Omaha' Beach & the US American Normandy Cemetery are nearby.
