Perfect for a small family or two couples – a high quality “ Bastide” cottage on a small exclusive domaine of similar privately owned properties situated at the foot of the perched village of Montauroux. It’s an ideal location for a holiday home – in the beautiful hinterland just behind the Riviera – 25 minutes from Saint Raphael/Fréjus, 30 minutes from Cannes, 40 minutes from Nice airport. There are just 40 properties on the domaine which has a reception office, indoor residents' lounge, beautiful shared swimming pool, poolside showers/toilets, laundry room and cycle store. The property has an enclosed garden and terrace with teak outside dining furniture. Internally there is an open-plan living room with comfortable armchairs, local-channel television and a dining table and chairs. The open kitchen has a microwave oven, electric hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher. There are two bedrooms – one double and one twin – each with wardrobes and two bath or shower rooms.

Montauroux is one of several similarly attractive medieval hill villages set on a ridge of hills only 30 minutes away from the famous resorts and beaches. As well as local shops, cafés and restaurants in the village there are lots of others in the area and in the neighbouring villages of Fayence, Seillan and Callian and most of these have wonderful weekly provençal markets. An unusual facility nearby is the St Cassien lake – only 2km from the property - which has sandy bays for sunbathing and swimming and water activities which can be hired including canoes, pedalloes and sailing boats. There are local shops within walking distance or it’s just a 5 minute drive up to the village centre where there are more shops and restaurants
