At low tide, the beautiful white sandy beach - recently voted as one of the best beaches in the world by the Sunday Times - stretches for miles and is ideal for swimming, surfing or just sunbathing. As with many of the coves in this part of Cornwall, both basking sharks and dolphins are frequently seen enjoying the crystal clear turquoise sea. The valley is steeped in history being the site of Marconi’s first transatlantic cable call and is home to the underground Wartime Telegraph Museum - a must for adults and children alike! A short distance from the apartment is a local pub which serves good food, a post office and stores, two tennis courts, a small café (100 yards) which serves delicious cream teas and crab sandwiches! - The traditional and award winning Logan Rock Inn at Treen is a five minute drive or a 20 minute cliff walk for the more adventurous! Shellseekers is a superb holiday hideaway - no matter which season - but you will have to book early!
