The apartment is situated in Monteverde, 4 Km to the centre of Rome. You can reach Trastevere in 5/7 minutes and the historical centre of Rome in 10 minutes by a very frequent tram that is only 2 minutes walk from home. San Pietro basilica is one stop train service away (5minutes) from Stazione Trastevere (5 minutes from here/3 tram stops). The flat is situated in a quiet area and it is at a walking distance to a fantastic park with a lake (Villa Panphili): http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Villa_Doria-Pamphili To get to the apartment from Fiumicino Airport there is a train (20 minutes ride) to Trastevere and then a 3 stops tram ride. From Trastevere you can get a train to the sea and the beaches. To reach Ciampino airport you can take a bus (bus H) to Termini station, around 20 minutes ride, and then the direct bus to Ciampino (if you book via internet to Terravision, your ticket will cost less). Notes: Long renters welcome, monthly rent is 1.500 euros. There is garage is 2 minutes walk from the apartment, daily prices are 10 euros, weekly are between 60 and 70 euros. There is a gym, daily entrance 10 euros very well equipped (Tecnogym) with sauna, it is around the corner of the Ford car dealer near the seasonal market in Piazza San Giovanni di Dio, 5 minutes walk from here. Ask me for more details if you are interested. The open air swimming pool is open daily until the 15th of September (daily prices are, only for my guests, 6 or 8 euros (Sat-Sun), per person. Unlimited internet usage included in the price.

About the property: The apartment is situated on the third floor of a three storey building. In Monteverde, There is no lift. It is newly and luxury decorated, parquet flooring, double glazing, air conditioning, a spacious bathroom, high ceilings. It is very beautiful and full of natural light and situated in a very quiet spot in a very central area of Rome, from here you can reach Trastevere with bars, restaurants and its historically buildings in only 5/7 minutes. It is two minutes away from a very frequent tram that will take you to the very centre of Rome in less than 10 minutes (tram number 8, also a night bus). A ten minutes walk will take you to Villa Panphili, a very beautiful and big park where you can jog, walk, ride a bicycle or take your pet and childrens for a walk, Around here there are very good 'pizzerias', friendly bars, a daily market with the latest seasonal produce, a big hypermarket and a few video rental stores, a gym, and a swimming pool/open air from June to 15th of Sept.

google map: and not open air all the rest of the year. The swimming pool is in a private club where my guests have a special entrance fare of 6 euros per day or a weekly entrance price of around 25 euros, it take 5 minutes bus to get there, or a 15 minutes walk.

Very highly recommended esp. for its convenient access to public transport (tram 8 to Largo Argentina). The nearby market offers excellent food at good prices, and generally a side of Rome that few visitors will see. Apartment itself is well appointed, comfortable and sound-proof. Air-conditioning proved very effective during a late summer heat-wave. The owner is very considerate and sollicitous. Altogether, a real gem.

A perfect spot

Enjoyed an excellent week's holiday staying in the apartment - which had all the facilities you need, including air-conditioning - very handy in a hot week in July!

Just a short, frequent tram ride to Trastevere and the city centre and the neighbourhood is charming with great market, shops, bar/restaurant and park all nearby.

Owner Daniella went out of her way to be accommodating and welcoming and provided lots of handy hints and tips on how to make the most of your stay - superb cutomer care!

Great flat in Trastevere

Very nice, comfortable flat up the road from Trastevere in Monteverde, with everything you could need. The owner Daniela is extremely welcoming and really did everything possible to make my stay very pleasant.

An excellent location. A few minutes by tram from Trastevere Rail Station and about 10 minutes from central Rome by tram. Excellent local facilities and good facilities in the apartment.
