Welcome to Domaine de la Soulette, a spacious and charming 18th century country house set deep in the stunning countryside of the Languedoc in the south of France. Near Carcassonne and Limoux, the house is set in beautiful and mature gardens with stunning south facing views, including a swimming pool, an orchard and 125 acres of woodland to explore. This self-catering summer holiday rental sleeps up to 12 people in six double bedrooms, three bathrooms, three large reception rooms and a large family kitchen. All the rooms are furnished comfortably and include many antique and interesting pieces characteristic of the region. The house provides an excellent base for a self-catering family summer holiday in Languedoc, whether it's spent lazing by the swimming pool or exploring the nearby delights of the vineyards, Carcassonne, Limoux, the sea or the mountains.

Set in the heart of Cathar country, the walled medieval city of Carcassonne, now a UNESCO world heritage site, is less than half an hour away. Both the sea and the mountains of the Pyrenees are within an hour’s drive. Narbonne is the closest beach. Toulouse, with its shopping, sights and rich cultural life is just over an hour away by car. Also within half an hour’s drive is the market town of Limoux, famous for its sparkling white Blanquette – a precursor of champagne – and its foie gras de canard. The house is located in the heart of the local wine producing area and most local vineyards offer tastings and direct sales from their cellars.
