The 2-floor luxury private villa is just 100 m walk from a long pebble beach with crystal clear water. Panoramic view on the Messinian bay to the west and on Taygetos mountain to the east. The villa, 100 sq.m, comprised of living room/kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 loft (all of them with sea view) and 2 bathrooms, is isituated in the middle of a 1,500 sq.m. garden with grass, colourful flowers and various trees. Completely renovated in 2007. It has well-functioning air-conditioning (in the bedrooms) which also works for heating and tile-roof . 5 min. drive to picturesque and lively Kalamata. Ideal for couples and families. Memorable sunsets. Kalamata city is only 5 km, offering beach front restaurants, shops and night life.

Peloponnese (south edge of mainland Greece) displays a large number of historical sights, a rich partition of coasts, a hinterland with beautiful nature, villages with remarkable architecture, developed cities and a high touristic infrastructure. It boasts the largest and most spectacular concentration of ancient sites, including Mycenae, Epidavros and Olympia, where the Olympic games were founded. Equally fascinating are the many Byzantine (medieval) cities, churches and fortresses, including the hilltown of Mystras and the sea-rock of Monemvasia. The rugged Mani peninsula, central of the three ‘fingers’, positively bristles with towers and frescoed chapels. Day trips can easily be arranged to historical sites (Olympia, Mystras & Monemvasia|). Travel to Kalamata: From April to October direct flights connect several countries to Kalamata and Araxos (near Patras). NEW DIRECT FLIGHTS between KALAMATA and GERMANY (NURNBERG, Frankfurt, Munich, Munich) are scheduled to start in MAY 2010 (AIR BERLIN). All year round filights connect Kalamata to Salonica and Crete. Two direct flights wil connect daily Kalamata to Athens (AEGEAN AIR) from May 2010. Flights to Athens are available also all year round. New highway from Athens to Kalamata (230 km) will be completed in 2010. From Italy (Ancona, Venice, Brindesi or Bari) there is daily ferry connection to Patras; distance Patras - Kalamata is 210 km. Regular ferry connection to Crete.

The sunset villa

My friend and I stayed at the villa for four nights and were very pleased with the accommodation and cleanliness of the place. Our owners had some basic necessities for us in the fridge upon arrival which we thought was a very nice touch and the market just across the street had all the rest we needed to enjoy our stay.

The villa is decorated tastefully and is very comfortable. We do not hesitate to highly recommend this rental. Lena and Panos were very welcoming and available to help us had we needed it. We had a fantastic stay and the last sunset left us wanting more but we unfortunately had to leave…

Hello Panos - thanks again for our week-long stay in your beautiful villa near Kalamata. We loved the house, the sea views were fabulous (watching the dolphins feeding in Kalamata Bay one morning was a real treat), and the garden was a real oasis. We'll remember our morning coffees, our kids collecting rocks from the nearby beach, and sipping wine as we watched the sunsets. Simply great! Thanks as well for being a kind and generous host, and for welcoming us as friends - we hope to return again.

Super villa with panoramic sea & glorious sunsets

Dear Panos and Lena
Thank you for opening your home to visitors from all over the world. Our stay was simply heaven .. our home away from home!

The villa and gardens are in excellent condition (however one recommendation is to put a glass door in the downstair shower). It provided us a perfect setting to enjoy good food, lots of laughs, and great conversations around the "sunset" table ... and what lovely sunsets!

We also enjoyed taking in the sights of the surrounding area including Kalamata, Stoup and Diro Caves (which is a must see, however plan on a full day tour)

Your neighbours were very hospitable and kind and greeted us each day. We even got to know your "Market" which is conveniently located across the street!

We certainly look foward to returning to your lovely villa on our next visit to Greece!

Nice house with beautiful garden

We stayed at this nice place for a week. The house was nice and clean. It was equiped well. Unfortunately there was no internet access, which is something that should come with a house like this I think.The garden makes the house with a great view over the sea with nice sunsets in the evening. The roosters are very anoying in the morning, but ear plugs may help to sleep a bit longer than just sun rise. One has a lot of privacy at this place.

The owners are very friendly, good email contact before the stay and after an evening of thunderstorms they checked if there were any problems. The also left some wine and food for us when we arrived, very nice.

Compared to another place where we stayed in the Peloponnese (Nafplio) the price was a quite high, but it is an nice place to stay. But I can definately recommend this place. We had a very good time here.

Fantastic house in Greece

My family and I stayed a week in Panos an Helens house. The house is located 1½ km. from Kalamata.
It is a wonderfull house. Nice and romantic with all you need. The house has a fantastic wiew - over the sea and Kalamata and to the other side up hill.
We were in Olympia (long trip), Mystras (beautiful trip throug Taygétos mountains), Mani, Caves of Diros (fantastic).
2 min.'s walk and you are at the beach - nice place, not many people.
Panos and Helen were fantastic. Before we left home they e-mailed us and asked if there were anything we needed to know about the area ans they gave us directions to find the house. Panos met us at the house very early in the morning to show us around and hand us the key.
We can warmly recommend Panos and Helens beautifull house.
