**15% off all bookings for May, June, September, October & November 2009** Our house, Ljubi Dom, is in the picturesque village of Luce overlooking the river. Guests can enjoy long walks, swimming in the local spas, skiing at two terrific resorts, whitewater rafting or just taking in the breathtaking scenery. Ground Floor The lounge is a large room with several comfortable sofas and a snooker table that can be easily converted into a 10-seater dinner table. There is also an iMac with speakers for watching DVDs and listening to music. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, fridge freezer and new kitchen utensils and crockery. The Snug Room has a traditional Slovene heater and a sofa bed. There is also a downstairs toilet and basin. First Floor There are four large double bedrooms, another room for babies to sleep in, 2 bathrooms and a 3rd toilet. There are also a washing machine and dryer. Towels and bedding are provided. The house is in the beautiful village of Luce, close to the stunning Logarska Dolina national park, a perfect place for mountain biking, hiking and picnics. Within the village, there is a good sized shop, several bars and restaurants. Of particular note is the award winning Pension Raduha, which offers fantastic food. Whilst the house is self-catering, we have a local woman who will cook meals for guests at exceptional value. Nearby attractions include three ski resorts - the closest being just 20 mins drive, golf, fishing on the river that runs through Luce, white water rafting, canoeing, ski-jumping for the more courageous, horse-riding and several natural attractions. There are also two spas within 45 minutes drive which offer very reasonably priced treatments. Ljubljana is just over 60 mins from the house with the lovely Lake Bled 90 mins away. The surrounding area is full of meadows, forests and rivers giving superb walks for all, whether it be for half an hour or a full day.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Ljubi Dom is available for weekly rentals, but exceptions can be made.
    The cost of renting Ljubi Dom per week is £500 - £800, except for during the Christmas, New Year and Easter periods.
    A Booking Deposit of 35% is paybable on booking, with the balance of 65% payable at least one month before the holiday rental. Payments can be made by personal cheque or by bank transfer.
    A Security Deposit of £100 is also required to cover any breakages or damages that may occur during your stay. This deposit is returned to you in full within 14 days of departure.
    In the case of cancellation for up to 30 days before the rental the 35% deposit will be kept. Within the 30 day period before the holiday rental the full amount for the rental period is the cancellation fee. If we are able to relent the property for the period cancelled, a refund will be made.
    For any home-made suppers delivered to the house, guests are asked to pay in cash directly to our housekeeper.

Skiing within 20 mins drive: Ljubi Dom is close to three ski resorts, with Golte just 20 minutes away. The resorts offer extremely reasonable pass rates and equipment hire and have lovely restaurants and bars on the slopes. Golte is a perfect place for families and skiers of different grades of experience, while Rogla has more runs for advanced skiers and snowboarders.

Excellent golf course nearby: Golf is a popular sport here and the 18-hole course of Golf Arboretum is near to Ljubi Dom. The course is in excellent condition and situated in an old arboretum creating a picturesque setting. The practice facilities and restaurant in the clubhouse are both superb. Clubs can be hired at the course and green fees are reasonable. Visit the website for more information.

Two spas within 45 mins drive: Slovenes enjoy swimming in the clear waters of the river of Luce. There are also several health spas nearby with large outdoor and indoor pools set in beautiful surroundings. The spas offer massages, aromatherapy and other treatments at extremely reasonable prices, which need to be booked in advance.

I would highly recommend Ljubi Dom for all ages and all types of holiday desires-it really is a terrific place that suits everyone from treks up into the mountains to relaxing with a book by the river. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The house was perfect, very spacious, clean and had everything you needed. It was so peaceful too and just lovely waking up to the sound of the river. The local restaurant serves the freshest food with enormous helpings! There is a sweet local bar and shop and all within walking distance.
I will defintely be returning-a top holiday!

We spent a week in Ljubi Dom over Christmas as part of a large family group.
The house is lovely; very comfortable, well-maintained and works perfectly for a large group, with separate areas for those wishing to escape.
The village is so lovely - beautiful setting and with nice local bar and restaurant.
The skiing and walking were great.
Would highly recommend.

I stayed in Ljubi Dom on a large family holiday. We were a real mix of ages and there was something here for everyone. There are lots of lovely walks, some great local bars and the owners have left a book packed with information on things to do and see during the stay.
I couldn't get over how lovely the house was. It is large and comfortably held 9 adults and 2 children for the week. We had more family members joining us for the holiday and the owners very kindly recommended a local B&B so that they would be near us (a 2 minute walk in fact). The people in the village are extrememly friendly, so be prepared to drink pear schnapps!
We went in winter, so took advantage of the skiing nearby but would love to come back for a different season as it really is beautiful here. Looking into organising a holiday with friends here later in the year.

Christmas in Slovenia

I spent a fantasic Christmas holiday out here with a larger group of Family. The house was presented beautifully for our arrival and accommodated all of us comfortably within the house. The living areas and kitchen are great socailising spaces and also allow people time out to relax and recover. There are lots of out door activities very close by and the drives around the area are easy and beautiful at the same time. The village and people there are very friendly and happy to help out. There are lots of eateries and bars within the village and a tourist information point which meant advice was readily avaliable to english speakers. We would recommend this house and spot without fail to a family group or group of friends as the house and location are magnificent!!

Summer relaxation and outdoor adventure

I have finally got around to writing this review! We had a fabulous Summer holiday in Ljubidom. I went with my son Max, 7 and my partner and his 2 boys. We wanted to have a holiday where we could all do activities together in a house big enough that we had our own space when relaxing at home. This fitted the bill perfectly, we went on loads of trips in the day, waling, cycling and swimming and had lots of fun relaxing and playing games in the house.
It was perfect. Can I recommend getting the house keeper to cook you a few meals at such a bargain price and absolutely delicious!
