A totally unique holiday rental, this Grade II Windmill has been completely renovated to provide a stunning holiday home. Standing imposingly within its large garden the Mill offers 360 degree views stretching up to 20 miles from the 7th floor. The garden has a heated pool and a large BBQ and patio area. The Mill boasts much character, with internal beams, oak floors, wood stove and open fires and the former workings of the Old Mill. The spacious kitchen/diner has French doors that lead to a large patio, pool and garden. The split level heavily beamed sitting room is full of charm and character with the original mill stone as a main feature. The spacious front hallway leads to the ground floor of the Mill tower which is presented as a stunning formal dining room . The mill tower contains a games room and three bedrooms with a further 4 bedrooms in the main house. A breathtaking glass walkway connects the main house to the mill tower on the first floor.

Within 60 miles and about 1 hour drive from Stansted airport and about 2 hours drive from Heathrow airport.Within an hours drive are the cities of Cambridge and Norwich and the picturesque towns of Swaffham and Ely are 15 and 25 mins drive respectively.The North Norfolk Coast is about 26 miles away. The area abounds with rivers and forests for all types of walking, cycling, fishing and boating.Within 3 miles is the National Trust, Oxborough Hall which can be reached over a variety of foot trails, other local places of interest and activities include Gooderstone water gardens, Boadicea's village, Icenie Brewery, Stowe Farm and Thetford Forest with its well known 'GO APE' adventure playground.

  • The main house has a master bedroom and 3 additional bedrooms , one double and two twins.. The Tower mill, which is linked to the main house on both the ground floor via the entrance hallway and first floors via the glass walkway has two doubles and a single room which all interconnect. Guests must note that these cannot be closed off from one another and so offer a reduced level of privacy. The large circular ground floor of the Tower mill is a formal dining room seating 12-14 at a round table. Please note bedroom 7 is on the 5th floor of the Mill so we feel it is unsuitable for a young child, but would however suit a responsible teenager or a single adult. The arrangements of most of the rooms are not fixed and we will try to accommodate any switching between doubles and twins you may require if it suits your family's needs better. We can also provide a junior bed and travel cot if you need either of these

We warmly welcome children , however please note the pool is not fenced off, though it is equipped with an alarm. There is a large trampoline in the garden which we welcome children to use under supervision. Games room is equipped with Nintendo Wii with a selection of games TV, DVD , games, and a large selection of books and films. Available on request are the following : Professional caterer for in house special occasions Reliable Babysitter Cleaner, Local Taxi Service, Stair gates, Baby monitors, Cot, Bath seats ANY OTHER REQUIREMENTS......JUST ASK The village has a very pretty and child friendly pub serving good food. For the elderly or infirm the ground floor of the mill is sometimes used as bedroom 7 and there is a large shower room on the ground floor. There are however a set of 2 steps up to the shower room and TV room. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house. We will consider pets, but restrictions apply so please check with us in advance

Pool Opening

The Outdoor Pool is normally opened and heated in July and August. Outside of these times and weather permitting we will be happy to open and heat the pool by arrangement but extra costs of £30.00 per day will be incurred for heating and maintenance. The Pool is not fenced off and is unsupervised, but is equipped with an alarm.
