For people who want a relaxing holiday on the Cote d'Azur, but want more of an exclusive feel of the place. Not as crowded nor commercial as the cities like Nice,Cannes,etc.But with all the same conveniences, like public and private beaches, a casino, a theatre, a famous open air music festival since 1956,movie house, restaurants, including one of the best of the Cote d'Azur (according to the Michelin guide),sailing and windsurfing school in the summer,two ports, an old town,2 kms from Italy, 6 minutes by train to Monaco, and 25 minutes by train to Nice, an hour and a half's drive to the mountains and you are in one of the biggest National Parks of France.The flat was redone by an Italian decorator a few years back. Very simple, but tastefully done, with a lot of Carrara marble in the kitchen, bathrooms, and entrance hall. The rest of the flat has the original ceramics called tomettes. All modern conveniences like built in kitchen,etc. The flat has all windows with a beautiful sea view

A seaside resort on the Cote d'Azur within minutes by train to Nice(25') and Monaco(6').Italy is 2 km. away.Has a beautiful old town and seven famous gardens which were created by the English at the turn of the century.About an hour and a half by car to the Parc Mercantour, one of the national parks of France.Has lovely fresh food markets open daily , public and private beaches,museums, a casino and a movie theatre and a classical music, open air festival every summer since 1956. Charming tennis club with clay courts built by the English in the 1900s.Sailing and windsurfing school open in the summer. Swimming lessons also available.Has one auction house holding sales on Saturdays, except in August.Wonderful walks by the sea, dating from the past century, when they were called 'chemins des douaniers'. Has lots of good restaurants, including one of the best ones in the South of France(according to the Michelin guide). Bike rentals available. It has two ports. Quiet and safe location.

A beautiful apartment in a lovely area. We will surely return some day for another luxurious break. The apartment is within an easy walk to the station, albeit with a more strenuous walk back, although there is a strategically placed bench or two for those struggling with the walk up the hill. We enjoyed walking in the area as well as trips on the train to Monte Carlo as we were there when practice was going on for the Grand Prix. As we did have a car we also managed enjoyable trips to the attractive mountain villages that are scattered throughout the immediate area.

A wonderful winter holiday

The apartment is well situated close to the bus and rail station so if you want to explore by the very good public transport system, it is very convenient, though be ready for the short sharp walk uphill at the end of your day! The views over Menton and to the Mediterranean are lovely and the apartment is spacious, clean, warm and well equipped with everything you would need, though the water heating was temperamental (a hot bath was not guaranteed).
Some might find the walk to the centre and all the restaurants a little far (20 - 30 mins to the old town), but if you're into walking it is an ideal base and I would especially recommend the winter there as the weather was mostly glorious.
I would recommend this apartment to friends, with no hesitation.

Excellent apartment, very spacious and cool in the summer heat. Well equipped kitchen. TV and broadband temperamental. Very helpful concierge but is young so timekeeping not his strength! Good place for quiet holiday with lovely view of sea and town. Wonderful for train station and bus station - no need for a car. Very helpful owner.
