Agrigento holiday apartment: Sciacca

You will find the apartment no.98505 in the small holiday village of San Marco at the identically named cape. The best about the three-room-habitation is its fantastic sea view: As it is located on first floor (on the picture it is the terrace you see between the two palms) and at the corner of the building, you can look at the Mediterranean see in two directions. You even hear the waves. The furniture of the apartment is well-maintained and nice but simple and is ok for a holiday of one or two weeks. The beach nearby is nothing special but has the advantage to be quite calm even on windy days

For this location, you will need a car. There are nearly no supermarkets or restaurants (in the high season there exists a small shop / cafe) in walking distance. Sciacca is about 10 minutes by car, the nice beaches of Capo San Marco are even nearer. In low/mid-season (when the beaches are nearly empty and only few people, mostly Italians, are living in the complex), the price-performance ratio of the apartment is really great. You won't find a similar lodging for that price. In high season the rates triple, but the same is true for every accommodation in Italy.

The only thing I didn't like is that there weren’t any mosquito nets in front of the windows. I also missed a private barbecue. Besides you have to consider that there is a tennis / football court right in front of the building, and on some days people play there also in the evening. If you prefer to go to bed at 8 pm, it could be too noisy for you. We really enjoyed our stay there in the end of September, when it was quite of the beaten track, and if there weren't so many nice places on earth, we would definitely come back.
