It has hosted a number of Spanish Opens, and is considered one of the top European courses, and number 29 in the world. Club de Golf Oliva Nova, designed by Severiano Ballesteros 1995, has been voted one of Seve’s best designs. Four times it has hosted the Peugeot Oki Spanish National Championships and attracts many prestigious golfing events. El Bosque Golf and Country Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. in 1975, is a course of championship quality but playable by all levels of golfer. Spanning hills and gullies, with fast greens and over 100 bunkers, El Bosque has hosted several Spanish Opens. Formula 1:
Americas Cup and Formula One Motor racing: Because of the ease of access to the Americas Cup yacht harbour and the Formula One Grand Prix motor racing circuit, the villa is ideally situated for those involved in either of those activities, either as professionals or as spectators.
Fiestas:
Fiestas: Fallas - Nov 5th Well, Las Fallas is your kind of event, a loud, smoky, rowdy fiesta where the whole town is literally set ablaze! Tomatina - is held annually on the last Wednesday of August in Buñol. 20,000 - 40,000 from the world over come to fight with over 100 tons of over-ripe tomatoes. The week-long festival features music, parades, dancing, & fireworks. On the night before, there is a paella cooking contest. La Corda - Ever seen 35,000 rockets launched in 40 mins? Paterna signs off August Fiesta with a BANG. Moors and Christians - The parades with period costumes, moving in step to exotic music, recall the rivalry existing between the Moors & Christian troops at the time of the re-conquest. Paterna offers an excellent opportunity to view this spectacle. Bull Running - Montroy & Monserrat have bull runs mid August.
