Very spacious casita with private pool in an area of outstanding beauty

Only ten minutes drive from historic, cosmopolitan Palma, yet we are deep in stunning countryside where the only sounds you will hear are birdsong and soft, tinkling sheep-bells. An extremely spacious, high quality and private single-storey guest cottage next to the pine plantation on our small estate. The 10 x 5 metre pool uses an advanced salt system which is very good for the skin. Unwind in the peaceful, romantic and natural environment with panoramic views to surrounding hills. Local walking and cycling is some of the best on the island. A ten minute stroll takes you to the local bar/restaurant offering home-cooked country cuisine. From there a bus runs every 15 minutes into Palma with its stunning historical centre, markets, galleries, superb shopping, restaurants and a vibrant night-life. This is the real, altruistic and unspoilt Mallorca. Our small five-acre estate is deep in the countryside yet only ten minutes from Palma, the capital city. Valdemossa, Deja, Soller and many other areas of interest are within a short drive. The area is a designated a 'protected area of outstanding natural beauty' and offers wonderful walks and scenery. There are attractive beaches within twenty minutes drive although the salt-water pool and our many shaded areas provide a welcome alternative in the summer months. Whilst a car is not absolutely essential I highly recommend you hire one; we are within ten minutes of the excellent, extensive road network which provides fast and easy access to all parts of this lovely island.

  • The enormous bedroom looks out onto the pine trees in front of the casita. The six-foot double bed has twin mattresses, masses of built-in storage space, a cooling fan and underfloor heating. The casita, built on a single floor level, is some distance away from the main house so it totally private. We also have a second large casita in the grounds so can sometimes accommodate up to four people; however please note the rental shown is for each casita.

Notes:

We have a large orchard and you are welcome to pick whichever fruit and nuts are in season. The osmosis-filtered water supply is from our own wells and has been described as 'better than Evian bottled water'. Large areas of our small estate are left wild which attracts many birds and much wild life. The infinity pool utilizes an advanced salt-water system which is far healthier and more pleasant than chlorine. This really is a very beautiful space to unwind and do as little - or as much - as you feel like. Palma, ten minutes away, is a buzzing city with something for everyone, whether restaurants, festivals, shopping, galleries, clubs or historical buildings. There are other very popular towns nearby such as Valdemossa and Deya whilst great beaches are within 20 minutes drive. There's a library of books, UK satellite TV, DVD and stereo. The local restaurant offers an excellent lunchtime set menu for €8.50 including wine and there are many fine restaurants in the area.

Beautiful home from which to base your holiday. Grahame & Graeme are excellent hosts. Friendly , helpful , genuine and non-intrusive. The Casita is spotlessly clean and has everything you could want.The pool is fab , there are wonderful views from it too.The photos dont do the place justice in my opinion.
The location is unbelievable. 10 min drive to Palma and the extensive motorway network which can bring you anywhere you want to go on the island , yet also rooted firmly in the hills where you can really feel like you are getting away from it all. The bus into Palma is also a short walk away.
Cant recommend it highly enough or indeed the island itself.
