The Oakridge St Mellion estate is an exclusive grouping of just 20 holiday homes on this 40 acre estate alongside the world-renowned St Mellion Golf club. For golfers it represents a dream opportunity to play one of the UK's toughest courses. For non golfers it combines access to fantastic leisure facilities on a safe private estate in the middle of beautiful Cornish countryside. These stone-built cottages have great views, large decks or balconies with barbecues & free St Mellion memberships for use of the facilities there. Inside they are modern & spacious. Some have real fire places and the floor to ceiling windows in the upstairs lounge areas all have lovely views either over the local country side or the golf courses. With easy access to good roads they are also great for getting around Cornwall. The Gallery Holiday Cottage - Saturday Changeover The Gallery has great views overlooking the Jack Nicklaus course at St. Mellion. You receive two golf leisure memberships giving access to the superb sports and leisure facilities at St Mellion. All properties at Oakridge are detached and they are situated in delightful courtyard setting in groups of 5 (there are 20 in total spaced out over 35 acres with a 1000m drive connecting them). The combination of quality accommodation, great location and superb sports and leisure facilities make these ideal holiday retreats. This detached property, built out of local stone is a stylish contemporary holiday home. The floor to ceiling windows in the upstairs room have delightful views of the Jack Nicklaus 12th fairway. It has three en-suite bedrooms and a large, well fitted kitchen area. The central heating makes sure that whatever the time of you year you will enjoy a relaxing break.

Oakridge St Mellion is ideally located for visiting Cornwall. St Mellion is a delightful small village within easy reach of Plymouth and Tavistock to the east. The Eden centre is only 40 minutes away. The nerest beach in Cornwall is Seaton (20 minutes) but Looe and Polpperro (south coast) and Bude, Padstow and Rock are also easily reachable to the North. Seaton is a lovely quiet beach with a pub, cafe and shop. Looe is more bucket and spade, but the Looe fish shop has some of the best fresh fish in Cornwall. The beautiful country house at Cotehele is only minutes away. Cotehele is a classic Tudor mansion with an enviable position by the Tamar river. Other nearby Country houses include Lanhydrock, Castle Drogo and Drakes home at Buckfast.

What to do: Apart from the superb golf and leisure facilities Oakridge is superbly located for visiting Cornwall & west Devon. There are numerous National Trust properties, the beaches are about 20 minutes away and good road take you to Eden and Lands End in 45 minutes and 90 minutes respectively.

Internet food: Apart from Tesco, there is also a new fabulous on-line farm shop call food4myholiday which will deliver your food & unpack it for you. Usually this will be before you actually arrive. You get fantastic locally produced food at great prices, waiting for you on arrival. A great way to save time on holiday.
