I went to Phuket in March 2011 with two friends and wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this property. My friends and I had searched other hotels in Phuket (there are tons!) but because of my food allergies, I wanted to stay away from eating out. So then we started looking at vacation rentals and found that some were actually a LOT cheaper than regular hotels. We had it narrowed down to 3 vacation rentals and then once we read reviews, and looked at locations, we decided to choose this property.
The restaurant on-site is good, but there's a catch: if you want REAL Thai cooking, tell them to make you something that isn't found on the menu. hehe
Anyways, with regards to the apartment, it was such a good choice! I would stay at this property again if I ever went back to Phuket. I loved how it was away from all of the hustle and bustle of Patong. Bangtao beach was a much nicer beach and there are lots of restaurants nearby to the apartment. It was clean and well-decorated; not too simple, but not too flashy and tacky either! ^^
On our last day in Phuket, we found that there was a tourist market in our own backyard that we didn't know about - we had gone downtown to Old Phuket Town for souvenir shopping - but if I were to come back, I wouldn't need to go anywhere near the Old Town.
Overall, the apartment photos posted were spot on and I really enjoyed having the feel of a house while travelling. The only con (if there was a con?) is the fact that there was a tree blocking the view from our windows and so we couldn't really see the beautiful sunrises/sunsets. Other than that, there were no issues whatsoever! :)

Sounds as if you had a good time - well done! Pleased to hear that you liked our apartment. Having the extra space of an apartment, compared to a hotel room is great, isn't it! As you rightly say, Bangtao is a great place - nice and quiet, but within touching distance of Patong, if you want it. Sounds as if you visited the many nearby restaurants - cheap and first class.
