Full of character, relaxing, a real hidden gem

We had an amazing break, gorgeous lake and surroundings, beautiful entrance to the B&B, great feel, great location, the room was smart and adequate for a B&B stay, even had a fridge. The owner and his family were extremely accomodating and always available to help, providing us with free bikes to use to cycle round the lake, and even lending us their laptop to make bookings on.
The town of Sarnico is lovely and has eveything you need, some great shops, small hideaway bars and resaurants up the winding streets. The only thing to note is that if you are a night owl like me, then although you can find places to have a late drink, you have to get used to getting up early as the streets come alive early on as everyone there seems to be early risers and then closes in the afternoon for a while.
Car hire is definately required to see as much of the area as possible, driving round the lake through the tunnels and on very narrow lakeside roads was hair-raising but amazing!
We also drove to Venice for the day, only a few hours down the motorway and well worth it, parking in Metze and getting the train across cost about 4 euros instead of probably 400 to stay there.
Overall, we had a very romantic, memorable break and enjoyed the Italian culture, would definately recommend this accomodation. Thank you.
