Village Amenities:
Two or three minutes' walk from the apartment, within the Village, there are a small, but well stocked Epicerie selling bread, croissants etc, a Newsagent/Stationer, and a boutique. There are also two restaurants - 'Les Tilleuls' and 'La Farigoule' - and a small Bar/Brasserie serving snacks and drinks. The Golf Clubhouse also has a good restaurant and bar. Within ten minutes' walk of the apartment, on the edge of the Domaine, is a four star hotel - the 'Moulin de Vernegues' - a traditional, old Provencale building where one can take lunch or dine in comfortable surroundings either inside or on the terrace.
Further facilities are available within the Domaine for which local charges are payable. These include two further swimming pools, one of which is an attractive wave pool, and excellent flood lit tennis courts; in the summer, horse riding and bicycles are available together with a variety of activities for children of all ages.
Golf Course:
The championship golf course, designed by Seve Ballesteros, was opened some 18 years ago and is maintained in peak condition; it is ranked among the best in France and has, for the last four years, been the venue for the French Masters13 competition. The course, a long par 72, offers challenging golf to players of moderate ability or better; however beginners might find it too challenging - indeed a handicap certificate, or similar evidence of an ability to play, is required. There is a good practice ground and putting green. The Clubhouse is well appointed and welcoming; there is a well-stocked pro-shop, a bar, as well as a very good restaurant. There is an attractive Terrace overlooking the 1st tee and the 18th hole where one can enjoy drinks and light snacks. All facilities are open to non-members. Clubs, trolleys and buggies are available for hire.
There is a resident professional with whom lessons can be taken at all levels of golfing ability.
