Ideally located between the buzzing medieval Old Town of Budva and the famous picturesque Sveti Stefan. Nestled up against the mountain side, just 10-15 min walk from the sandy Becici beach, the villa offers the best of both worlds: peaceful breathtaking panoramic views of the bay and the surrounding mountains while at the same time just a stroll away from lively cafes and restaurants. In close proximity, are two 5 star hotels where one can indulge in gourmet cuisine and be pampered in luxury spas. A great family holiday spot, that is particularly child friendly. The villa has been renovated in 2007, mostly using natural materials, stone and wood throughout, capturing the most of the beautiful surroundings and magical light. It is fully equipped and tastefully furnished. The house is very spacious (430m?) with three huge terraces on each level with uninterrupted water views. Just above the house, you can enjoy beautiful hikes in the mountain with captivating views and pristine nature

The villa is a short drive away from the most beautiful beaches and coves in Montenegro: Przno old fishing village and exquisite cove (2km), famous picturesque Sveti Stefan and its magical Queen's and King's Beaches (4km), pristine Jaz (4km), etc... It is also a short drive from the buzzing medieval Old Town of Budva (2-3km), the UNESCO protected Kotor village and its breathtaking bay (30km), and Skadar Lake (25km), one of the biggest habitat of bird species in Europe.

Further details: Close to the house (about 300m) there are two small convenience shops for your daily needs, but we recommend great food market in Budva, where you can buy lots of organic products sourced from local farmers. Becici, Sveti Stefan and Budva have banks, medical centres and tourist information centres, as well as dozens of coffee shops, bars and restaurants. The best night-life is found in Budva. Close to the house there are two 5 star hotels that provide luxurious spas for your pampering and indulgence. The Adriatic is regarded as one of the world's clearest seas, so indulge in scuba or snorkelling.

Travel: Tivat Airport is about 25 km away, Podgorica airport 50 km and Dubrovnik Airport about 120 km away. Flights from the UK to Dubrovnik are frequent (try Thomsonfly, Flybe, Ba and Croatiaairlines). Summer flights to Tivat from Heathrow and other European airports are ideal given proximity to villa (check BA, JAT, Montenegro airways). Port of Bar is 38 km away. The last 100m of the road to the house is a dirt road that is awaiting renovations by the municipality before the summer season. Car hire is recommended. Many cheap internet car rental offers are available.

Distances: All the major sights of coastal Montenegro are within easy driving distance: Budva, Sveti Stefan, Petrovac, Prcanj, Kotor, Perast, Herceg Novi, etc. The ancient capital of Cetinje can be reached in just over an hour by taking the breathtaking, hairpin mountain road. Skadar Lake is less than 30km away from the villa. The mountainous interior of Montenegro is worth at least a one-day excursion to explore amongst others Ostrog Monastery, Tara Canyon (the 2nd deepest in the world), Durmitor National Park,...

A dream place

I spent 2 weeks in Villa Jelka with 5 friends. We attended in a very important chess competition, so we were going to choose a luxury, comfortable and 5-star place to stay, and to be honest we managed to find that. We haven't ever stayed at such a good place like Villa Jelka. The villa is just huge and beautiful, everything was perfect and clean. The view from the 3 balconys was simply fabulous of the brighting see, which amazed all of us. We felt like in the Heaven or in paradise. We could have a luxury life for 2 weeks. The villa was even very well-equipped with all the modern tools and machines. There was a big supermarket near the Villa, so it took only a few minutes to get the every-day.things. Around the Villa was hills, which means that the Villa is found in a very quiet place.
I can reccomend this place everybody (all ages) who enjoys luxury, comfort and who likes having a fantastic holiday.
I am sure when I am back to Budva, I will choose this Villa again!!

5* Star Villa

The Villat is spacious and has a contemporary modern feel,is furnished very tastefully, it gave us caseful feeling. Very clean and great amenities.It was lovely to wake up in the morning and see the sun shining and the fantastic view to the sea through the big balcony straight up from the bed. The Villa is perfectly located. It is 10 min drive to Budva, few minutes walk to the Becici beach, 10 minutes drive to other best beaches, such as Sveti Stefan and Milocher.There are plenty of restaurants and cafes around Becici and Budva. The restaurant inside Budva's old town city walls has great views over the sea, restaurant Secret Garden in Old Town is great. The owner was always very prompt in dealing with our queries (we corresponded by email and phone), and we appreciated the pointers and suggestions that she provided to us shortly after booking. We spend there our best holiday ever, and we know already that we are coming back.I thoroughly recommend this Villa in every way.

We're mad for Monte

We stayed in Montenegro for a week from 22/09/08 specifically to go to the Madonna concert on Jaz Beach. We spent 2 days at the Hotel Splendid, and our friends joined us for 5 days at the fantastic Villa Jelka. The house is beautiful, light, well equipped, spacious and extremely comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the top floor terrace and ate breakfast up there each day overlooking the bay. The outdoor furniture up there is great, perfect for chilling. We had figs and walnuts from the garden which were an unexpected treat.
We ate at several lovely restarants and particularly enjoyed Tri Ribera down by the sea which serves freshly caught fish. Also Langust was good. Enjoyed visiting Kotor Old Town and Kotor Bay - Perast is particularly picturesque. Walked along to Sveti Stefan which is very pretty too.
The owners of the house, Maja and Stefane, were really helpful. I can't recommend it enough.

Fantasic Summer Holiday 2008

We had a fantastic holiday 2008 (July) with our family in Budva (Becici). The house is absolutely great, interior is fantastic and nicely chosen and combined, the rooms are well furnished, the roof terrace (view overseeing the sunset sea) are second to none.

The kitchen, the bathrooms are very clean and nicely equipped. The living has everything you like - besides a great table to eat with your friends and family - a LCD panel, radio, DVD etc.

The house keepers were very friendly and helpful. The contractual things went amazingly well.

Shopping market for food was easy to reach and had a great offer.

The old town of Budva is a great place to relax and to party in small cafes and bars: Try out the beach discos and enjoy the Balkan / Adriatic way of partying. Shopping offer for fashion, handbags and shoe's as well as for art is amazing. We bought a quite nice piece of art in the old town directly from the artist himself.

The beach is in walking distance (10minutes walk), the water is exceptional clean and clear, the sandy beach was ideal for our children (8 and 7 years old).
From the house you have excellent access to the other prominent locations like Sveti Stefan and others.

Overall a 5 star+ holiday.
We will absolutely consider it again for our summer holiday location.
