The Kennels nestles in Panmure Estate, a recently decommissioned forestry and sporting estate that dates back centuries as one of Scotland's most beautiful. In the last decade, thousands of acres have been turned over to private homes, forestry and farmland. Kennels Cottage is set in a private plot surrounded by forest but easily accessible by helicopter. Using google maps, inputting our postcode DD7 6LW and choosing satellite option gives an overview of its rural location. Although offering a silent retreat, we're just 3 miles away from Carnoustie Championship golf course whilst St Andrews Old Course and Gleneagles are within a half hour and hours drive. 2 country parks are within walking distance and we are a walk or drive away from miles of beautiful coastline that offers fishing, kite surfing, sailing and swimming. Within a 10 minute drive there are cinemas, shops and restaurants and St Andrews, Anstruther and Elie are beautiful coastal towns, all within a short drive.

The cottage is perfectly situated with easy access to beautiful beaches, world renowned golf courses and the Angus Glens. It is only a 5 minute drive to the golfing town of Carnoustie and only 20 minutes from Dundee the City of Discovery. St Andrews and the scenic Fife coastal tourist route with many picture postcard villages, are within half and hour. We have 2 country parks on our doorstep offering a huge range of outdoor activities to suit all ages. For keen skiers there are also 3 large ski areas within an hour and a half to two hours drive. In summer these areas provide beautiful walking opportunities and access to fascinating Scottish wildlife.

Notes:

Until just a few years ago, the Kennel Cottage was home to the estate's working dogs and their handlers. In 2006/7, the cottage underwent a bare-wall conversion by local craftsmen to the highest standard creating a unique and very comfortable home. Situated in a south facing, 1 acre plot this property is on 1 level and has wheelchair access. For your convenience, there is a utility room with sink, washing machine and airing cupboard for drying clothes. There are also pairs of children's wellie boots available in various sizes. The house benefits from an enormous open plan kitchen, living room and dining room which are all south facing with huge picture windows overlooking the private gardens and pet Highland cows. The house is also wired for music entertainment throughout the whole living space using a SONOS system. Outside is an enclosed south facing walled garden laid to lawn for children and adults alike and it has a west facing patio with table and chairs for outdoor dining.

There are several world renowned golf courses within easy access of the Kennels. Carnoustie Links course is approximately 5 minutes drive, The Old Course is within half an hour, Gleneagles is within an hour.
