This beautiful, private, self catering apartment is on the first and second floors of a stunning, recently renovated silk farm (La Magnanerie) in St Siffret, close to Uzes. The spacious living room is furnished to a very high standard - large comfy sofas, Provencal style dining and occasional furniture and ambient lighting. Television (BBC), DVD and video player are all there for your relaxation. The well equipped kitchen area has fridge/freezer, oven and hob, washing machine and dishwasher. A spiral staircase leads to the sunny bedroom with a kingsize bed and ample storage/hanging space. The 'French' windows lead onto a private terrace where you can enjoy a glass of wine or two! The en-suite bathroom has a shower over the bath, basin and WC. The Mediterranean walled garden has a 10m swimming pool (shared use) and areas in which to lie in the sun or shade. Winter lets? yes - heating throughout. Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided. Please bring your own pool towels

La Magnanerie is situated in the wonderful old village of St Siffret. The village, renowned for its charm, narrow streets and a beautiful 12th Century church, is surrounded by vineyards and the Garrigue. You can walk to the local shop for daily bread and provisions. Supermarkets are nearby as well as the range of shops in Uzes. Local caves provide excellent wines at very reasonable prices. St Siffret boasts an excellent French restaurant and others are to be found in neighbouring areas. Uzes, a wonderful Medieval town, is nearby. Here, in the oldest Duchy of France, you can shop, eat, drink or just sit and wonder at the splendid architecture of the historic buildings, Cathedral, central square and fountain. The Saturday market is magical - local fresh produce beautifully laid out - olives, seasonal fruit and vegetables, goats cheese, honey and, of course, wine! The Pont du Gard, Avignon, Nimes, the Carmargue and Orange are just a few of the fabulous places within easy reach.
