Nearby there are many small shops, a small park and art gallery (Carnoles Palace), tennis and boules clubs a small market every day and a large market every Friday. Beach, beach clubs, tourist restaurants and cafes are a 5 minute walk away. Accommodation for up to three people. Best for two.

Getting there

By Bus There is a half hourly express bus, service no. 110 that runs from stand 2 outside both arrivals terminals at Nice Airport to Monte Carlo and Menton. Tell the driver where you are getting off, as they tend to customise the outward route to suit passengers. The trip usually takes around 30 minutes. It will stop either by the apartment or on the seafront. Returning to the airport, the bus stop is on seafront, a block or 2 eastwards towards Menton, opposite a private beach and recreation area. The return route is by the book and may take more than an hour. Bus no. 100 proceeds up and down the coast from Nice to Menton in a leisurely manner; there are several buses every hour. They terminate at Nice bus station. There is a regular shuttle bus between the station and the airport.

By Train There is a regular bus link from the airport to Nice train station. Get to Carnoles train station (Gare Carnoles, or sometimes Roqubrune Carnoles) and you are almost there. It is the second stop after Monaco Monte Carlo. Leave Carnoles station by the Mountain facing side. Turn right walk for two blocks and then left (north) one block By Car There pay-for car parks on both sides of the flat and a large free car park “La Lodola” nearby. The car park immediately in front of the balcony is used as market on Wednesday mornings.

Getting about

By Bus There are bus stops (eastwards / towards Italy) the road by the tourist information office and (westwards / towards Monaco) on the other side of the apartment. Bus 100 takes you up and down the coast. Highly Recommended. Bus no. 3 shuttles from Carnoles thru Menton town and on to Menton Garavan by the Italian border. By Train The train service is excellent, but knocks off for a couple of hours mid day, which can be a nuisance. Pick up a timetable at the airport or tourist information office. Don’t forget to validate your ticket in the orange boxes! Menton town takes 2 minutes, Vintemille in Italy 10, Monte Carlo 6, and Nice 20. By foot Menton old town is a 20-minute stroll along the Promenade de Soleil.
