Kinsale begs your attention. This pretty town nestling between the hills and the shoreline boasts a maze of narrow streets, none far from the water, and little changed in many hundreds of years. Amongst buildings of later periods are those of another age with historical links to the French, Spanish, British and Americans. Highlights are Charles Fort and Desmond Castle (French prison). The spacious, luxurious, self-catering holiday home in Kinsale nestled within the stunning west coast of Cork provides the perfect retreat for family or friends or romantic breaks. Convenient to Cork international airport (20 km) and Cork city (25 km), 20 km from Ferry port.

Excellent experience in Kinsale

Seahawk Lynnwood Washington USA
Review Submitted: November 4, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
My wife and I spent three weeks in this lovely house in the month of October, 2009. It was our third trip to Ireland, having traveled much of the country but not the West Cork region. Kinsale is not only a good base for such exploration but is also provided with excellent restaurants and other necessities for a fine holiday. The house itself is a wonder. Jemma O'Donoghue has furnished and decorated it with good taste and provided every convenience one could ask for. It's not the cheapest holiday home you could find but it is excellent value for the money. Remember, you get what you pay for and in this case you certainly get a lot! We heartily recommend this property.

A perfect place in a perfect setting

AshMc Bath, England
Review Submitted: October 14, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We thoroughly enjoyed 40 Haven Hill - all facilities were available at the house and we all enjoyed the lovely walk into Kinsale along the promenade.

I would throughly recommend this property to friends visiting Kinsale and we will definitely be returning - it is such a quick run from Cork Airport to here making it all the more accessible as a place to come to.

A particular highlight is the fantastic Bulman pub/restaurant which is at the bottom of the steps into Summercove - many an afternoon/evening spent overlooking the harbour wall towards Kinsale.

Wonderful Home for a Holiday

Karen A. Texas, USA
Review Submitted: September 4, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Jemma is the most caring home owner we have encountered in our travels. She communicated with us often in advance, and we found the home exceptionally well-cared for and in immaculate condition when we arrived. The kitchen is exceptionally well-stocked with dishes and pots, important to us as we were able to entertain family who live in the area. The bedrooms were just lovely, and she had even come by early that morning to change out carpeting where a previous renter had caused a spill. You do need a car to drive to Kinsale, one of our favorite locations, and the view from the house is of the open harbour, not the village. But the accommodations are wonderful and I highly recommend this beautiful home.

Home From Home

Review Submitted: September 1, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Probably the best accommodation we have ever stayed in! We spent 2 weeks at this house and it offers everything a family could want or need.
Information provided by Jemma was helpful and even had a babysitter facility with 24hr notice. We used the babysitter and she was great.
Great views and great location.

Thoroughly recommended to all.

Wonderful stay in Kinsale

Ruby and co essex
Review Submitted: September 1, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We received a very warm welcome from Gemma along with a very 'welcome', welcome pack.
First impressions were great view and wonderful interior. No attention to detail had been spared and it felt like home.
The best pub/restaurant in Kinsale, 'The Bullman' was a short walk away where we enjoyed a great band and food.
We will be coming back again soon!!
