Notes: The cottage is elevated. Hence the lovely view. Steep garden steps lead up to the front door. Parking is at the foot of the steps. Due to the wild and wonderful location you are advised to consider whether it would be suitable for very young children. There are very few boundaries. A car is essential as the A82 has no pavement area..

Due to the wild and wonderful location you are advised to consider whether it would be suitable for very young children. There are very few boundaries. A car is essential as the A82 has no pavement area..

The Great Glen: There is nowhere else quite like the Highlands of Scotland. The water is from a natural stream and waterfall to the rear of the house. There can be extremes , In the summer there can be drought and in the winter there can be snow and freezing waterfalls. If you want to be close to nature. This is the place.. And if fishing is your thing: River Moriston. Salmon, Brown Trout. Very good Salmon fishing on this river which feeds into Loch Ness. Day tickets are available but pre-booking is advisable as most dates are booked well in advance. Fly fishing and spinning permitted. Permits from: Glenmoriston Lodge Estate. Tel. 01320 351300.

Other Activities: Monster Hunting

Aultsigh - Pole Cottages

Doyley Liverpool - Merseyside
Review Submitted: October 29, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We have just come back from a fantastic break in the Highlands, the views are breath taking. We stayed at Aultsigh; the cottage is divine with a log fire and traditional furniture, which was just what we wanted.
The cottage boasts a well equipped kitchen, 2 really good sized bedrooms with plenty of storage space, and the most amazing sitting room. We made good use of the TV and DVD player most evenings. Close to the cottage is a good hotel with a bar and restaurant, which is around a 5min car ride away. There is a local store, around a 10 min drive away, which is very convenient, the staff our very helpful and good for giving you tips for sight seeing and places for walks. Fort Augusts is about a 20 min drive away, it's a lovely little village where you can take a boat trip on Loch Ness. There is a lovely, friendly restaurant/bar called the Bothy, we had a very nice meal there, the staff are very welcoming. All in all, we had the most wonderful time at Aultsigh and can't wait to return next year, the cottage really enbodied the true spirit of Scotland. The Doyle family, Liverpool. 28th October 2009.

Nicht zu empfehlen!

Review Submitted: August 17, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Feuchtes, sehr unangenehm riechendes Haus.
Owner's Response: The pictures shown of the house are completely true. What you see is what you get. The description says wild and hopefully I have given photographs of the garden to resemble this.
The cottage is in the Scottish Highlands not the city. I try to make holiday makers aware they are staying in a humble cottage not a 5 star hotel even though the rate is very reasonable and should reflect this difference.

I repeat the advice - Please do not book if you do not like the country or things that live in it.

And please do not book if you do not like the idea of staying in a cottage that has been a part of this magical landscape for over 150 years with its own character and atmosphere.

Bobcot cottage

Review Submitted: June 16, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
When we arrived we were met by a deer that appeared to have been grazing on the far lawn. My sister is certain that she saw a pinemartin walk past the kitchen window. We had a good weeks holiday in this cosy and warm cottage which has been well updated; the kitchen is getting a little dated but quite usable. There are a number of good local walks, and a good hotel with bar and restaurant just a 5min car ride away.

Urlaub Juni 2009

Cham Cham, Oberpfalz, Bayern
Review Submitted: August 11, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
