Great house in a beautiful and peaceful location

We absolutely loved our stay in this wonderful house, Everything about it was perfect for us (4 adults and 2 children aged 7 and 10).
It is very clean with simple yet tasteful decor, a great terrace with views over the Seine valley. A short walk away (and a bit of a workout on the way back!) is the charming, picture perfect village which has all the amenities you may need.
A car is not essential, if you can't manage the hill there are two taxi services, which for a few euros will take you to and from the village.
It is a great holiday house offering a safe, calm and relaxing environment within 20 minutes of all the delights of Paris.

We selected this property on the basis of its proximity to Paris and because it looked really attractive on the website. On arrival we were really happy with the property and we particularly liked the outside dining area with its wonderful views over the Seine. The property had everything we needed during our stay, it was very clean, comfortable and stylish. The village of Villennes was also very charming. We were a family of 5 with a 3 grown up children. The accommodation was a good size for us but I would hesitate slightly to have booked the accommodation if our numbers had been much greater than this. We would definitely return to this accommodation.

Excellent holiday house near Paris

We really enjoyed our week here, all of us including the children and dogs. On site help was excellent. It was very clean and the facilities were new and as described. The property itself is really spacious and well layed out, we spent a lot of time relaxing around the house and having lunch/dinner on the terrace after exhausting days out site-seeing.

Very handy for Paris and Versailles, Giverny (and Vernon) is 20 minutes away and is a must see.

The local town (a short walk away) is very sweet and quiet, though make sure you check opening and closing times, as I couldn't work out when things were open or serving food (it reminded me of the UK in the 80's in that respect).

The autoroutes are near, where there are supermarkets etc.

The view is very beautiful, but is becoming slightly obscured by trees, especially of the old town and river in the valley below the house.

If we ever went back to the Paris area we would certainly use again.

Oasis of calm outside Paris

This place has everything you need for a very pleasant stay. Plenty of space, two good sized bedrooms, huge living space, a fully equipped high-spec kitchen and a great sun terrace. Decorated to a high standard, with cable TV and high-speed wifi internet. Hillside location with views extending over the Seine in the distance.

I stayed here whilst on business for 2 weeks in June 08 and would thoroughly recommend it. Why pay rip-off Parisien hotel prices when you can have your own home away from home ?

Villennes itself is a quiet peaceful town with a very pleasant atmosphere and great bakery. Plenty of supermarkets within 10 minutes drive and for some reason an over abundance of DIY/ furniture/ home accessory superstores. Saint-Germain-en-Laye, a great town for shopping and food, is also very close by.

Train into Paris is fairly convenient. In fairness access to the train station probably requires a car/taxi. The walk back is short, but fairly steep uphill !

Highly Recommended.
