In love with Villefranche

We returned just yesterday from a five day break in this little studio in the heart of Villefranche old town and felt we had to write a review, as this place couldn't have been more perfect! Absolutely charming!
The studio is accurately described - recently renovated, with everything you could ask for: fantastic location, light, clean and bright, with every mod con, and presented with style. Though small, the clever layout and attention to detail meant that we didn't feel cramped. We had originally been looking for a slightly larger apartment than this, preferably with a sea view, but were unable to find exactly what we wanted. This studio came closest and we can honestly say we were not in any way disappointed. It provided an ideal base from which to explore Villefranche and the surrounding area.
Easy to reach from Nice airport - either by bus, train or taxi. No need for a car. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly, helpful owner who had thoughtfully provided some basic provisions - and a great bottle of wine. No more than a few minutes away from anything we could want - fantastic restaurants, cafes, shops, the port, the beach, walks or transport to nearby villages/towns, etc.
Villefranche itself has to be one of the most beautiful places imaginable. The curve of the bay with the stunning view across to Cap Ferrat, the cobbled streets of the old town, the stunning colours... We immediately felt relaxed, at home, and fell in love with the place and the friendly locals.
Each morning we enjoyed fresh croissants from the nearby boulangerie on our sunny balcony overlooking the quaint little square. At any time of the day it was a joy to sit there and watch the world go by, feeling totally immersed in French village life. Then a stroll through the cobbled streets, always amazed at the beauty of our surroundings - a photo opportunity around every corner.
Such a choice of cafes and restaurants. So much to see and do. Our only disappointment was that we only had five days in this most beautiful of places. We hope to go back very soon and would highly recommend it to anyone.
