Alpine Chalet is a wonderfully appointed large, bright, chalet set in a terraced garden with stunning mountain and lake views just mins from ski slopes, village and Verbier. A self-catering rental, it sleeps 8 and has 4 bedrooms (2 double and 2 twin; a baby cot and single futon bed are available) - served by 1 family bathroom and 1 shower room - comfortable living space with a traditional log fire, HIFI, large plasma TV, DVD and video, dining for 10, a well-equipped kitchen including dishwasher, wet room with washing machine and tumble drier. Broadband Internet WIFI throughout the chalet. (Asthma friendly non-allergenic bedding and luxury towels.) Alpine Chalet is nestled in the mountains of Saint Bernard country beneath La Breya just a few minutes from the ski slopes and a short stroll into the village of Champex-Lac, one of the friendliest ski stations in Switzerland and only 90 minutes from Geneva. With skiing above 2000 metres and just 25 minutes from Verbier/4 Valleys; Champex Lac’s extensive cross country skiing, crowd free skiing and a Swiss Snow-sports School, nursery slope with night skiing, ice skating, hiking and walking, tennis, swimming, fishing all combine to make it an ideal winter and summer holiday destination. Best known for being one of two places where people start the Tour of Mont Blanc route and Ultra Trail endurance race. Champex-Lac has a fascinating underground fortress built in the 1940s and used by the Swiss Army and the beautiful alpine garden on its sunny southern slope of Mount Catogne. The lake has trout fishing, swimming and boating. Only a 20 minute drive to the historic Roman town of Martigny.

    * Not included in the rates shown is the 180CHF end of let cleaning charge and a linen charge of 20CHF per

    * A tourist tax (taxe de sejour) of CHF 2 per adult and CHF 1 per child 6-16 per night is not included and is payable at the tourist office or through our local agent.
    * A non-refundable deposit of 50% secures the booking, the balance is payable 7 days before arrival.
    * Credit card details are taken as collateral against damage.
    * All prices are quoted in Swiss Francs, any transfer/commission fees are payable by the guests

The well-appointed master bedroom has a Queen-sized bed, dressing table and balcony with stunning panoramic views across the valley to the ski slopes, mountains and lake; a further two bedrooms have single bunk beds (one with a single futon bed as an extra child’s bed) and share this balcony. The fourth bedroom is a pretty double bedroom. A baby cot and cot linen is available.

Tour of Mont Blanc (TMB): Champex is in a remarkable situation for walking and is best known for being one of two places where people start the Tour of Mont Blanc.

Alpine Garden: Just a short stroll from Chalet d'Alpine, on the sunny southern slope of Mount Catogne, is the beautiful alpine garden. Here you will find streams and tranquil pools, waterfalls and more than 3000 plants native to the Alps and other mountain regions.

Les Gorges du Durnand: Magnificent waterfalls cascading down a narrow gorge just a short drive from Chalet d'Alpine, here you can walk next to the dramatic falls and rock pools.

Ski: The Swiss ski resort of Champex-Lac is one of the friendliest ski stations in Switzerland, just 25 minutes from Verbier/4 Valleys, with skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable and the pistes are nearly always crowd free. There is also a delightful nursery slope and night skiing. There is a 7-km toboggan run from La Breya, a natural half-pipe and an ice-climbing pyramid. There is also a small ice rink beside the Fort d'artilerrie, own skates required. There is a branch of the Swiss Snow-sports School (SSS).
