Peak Retreat review

We had a fabulous time at Peak Retreat. As it says in its name - it really was a reteat! We all live pretty hectic lives and needed a well earned weekend of relaxing, walking and indulging. Peak Retreat provided just that.
We were a group of 4 adults and spent a long weekend at the house which was top class accommodation. Every little thing had been thought of and supplied.
The first night we ate at the local pub just a short walk away, where the food was very good. The village has numerous pubs and eating places so no need to cook at all if you don't want to.
On day two we went on a medium length walk after cooking a "full english breakfast" - (we had taken our own supplies, but there are plenty of good supermarkets nearby).
In the evening we cooked a wholesome meal and drank plenty. The kitchen and dining area is very well equipped and a sociable place to entertain and relax.
As you can imagine the walking in the area is fantastic with a full range of short, medium and longer, more strenuous, walks to do - on the doorstep.
If you have never been to the Peak District before we can highly recommend it. The scenery is fantastic, and Peak Retreat is comfortable, warm and spotless.
The accommodation is spacious and light and the views beautiful. For us it was deffinately "home from home"
Brian and Louise were very friendly and could n't do enough
to make us feel welcome. Being local people there is n't anything they don't know about the area.
We loved it so much we plan to return next month, if its available.
