Recently converted the house offers 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, gardens and modern contemporary living making it perfect for a relaxing holiday. Private parking, 5 minutes walk into Hayfield village and within the Peak District National Park.Weekends and short breaks & last minute stays - the house is ideal to self cater for families or groups of friends, super large kitchen/diner for convivial dining. Kinder Scout and the Pennine Way are on your doorstep famous for excellent hill walking and mountain bike trails. Rock climbing, walking, mountain biking, cycling, golf - the Peak District has it all in a relaxing environment. Lots of Peak District attractions, Chatsworth House, Castleton Blue John Caverns, Buxton & Opera house Alton Towers. Peak Retreat is a comfortable base for both outdoor enthusiasts and relaxing alike. Hayfield offers 10 country pubs within a mile!

Hayfield is at the edge of the Peak District National Park and is equidistant to Manchester and Sheffield. This area, known as the High Peak boasts fantastic walking country and amazing scenery. You are on the doorstep of Kinder Scout, the highest hill in Derbyshire situated on the famous “Pennine Way”. Hayfield itself is a pretty Peak District village with stone built cottages and the River Sett weaving through the centre. Feeding the local duck population is a popular pastime. Hayfield cricket pitch is at the heart of the village and matches are played all season. There are an abundance of good pubs and coaching houses – six in the village, ten within a mile! There are excellent eating options also food shops, a chemist and a Post Office plus two artist studios all in Hayfield centre. Glossop and Chapel en le Frith are close by market towns with supermarkets and a larger choice of facilities. Manchester only 20 miles away has an international airport, rail and bus links.

Short breaks by arrangement and these are not normally available in high season weeks but it is worth asking just in case. Three nights must start on a Friday, four nights must start on a Monday. The price for either of the 3 or 4 night stays is 70% of the full week cost. The house sleeps 8 people comfortably but an extra person can be accommodated on a guest bed if necessary. This is by arrangement only and charged accordingly. Babies arriving in their own cots will be charged at £20 each per stay.

2) Contact owner by e mail for a booking form louiseh@hi-peak.net
3) Print off the booking form and send with a 25% deposit cheque to secure the booking.
4) Your booking will be confirmed as soon as possible.
5) The balance will be due for payment plus a security deposit of £200 no later than 8 weeks before arrival date.
6) The balance will be confirmed and approx. 2 weeks before your holiday a key,map & directions will be sent to you.

Cancellation 4-8 weeks prior to holiday - 50% of balance refunded.
Cancellation 2-4 weeks prior to holiday - 25% of balance refunded.
Cancellation less than 2 weeks prior to holiday - no refund.

Prices are inclusive of bedding, towels, electricity and heating.
Normal weekly linen changes are every Friday and are included in the hire charge. We provide a small guest towel per bed but please bring your own bath towels. If extra bedding changes are requested during the week a laundry charge of £40 will be made. Short breaks by arrangement and these are not normally available in high season weeks. Four nights must start on a Monday; three nights must start on a Friday. The price for either of the 3 or 4 night stays is 70% of the full week cost.
The house sleeps 8+1 people maximum. Extra guest bed and linen is £10.00 per night. Babies arriving in their own cots will be charged at £20 each per stay.
In the main winter and summer seasons, the house is let Friday – Friday only; we ask you to vacate the house by 10am, and not to expect occupancy before 4pm. Out of season we can be more flexible on these times by prior arrangement.

Sorry but no pets are allowed and we also ask our guests to refrain from smoking inside the house. We have a covered patio with chairs outside the front door.

| Notes: | The large open family kitchen/dining room gives hillside views front and back. This room is the selling point of the house - spacious and clean with a solid oak floor and light maple units having black granite worktops and stainless steel splash backs. It is fully equipped for cooking for larger numbers. Dining is a relaxed affair around the large dining table and there are 8 dining chairs and a carver plus a two seater sofa. The kitchen has all modern conveniences – stainless steel gas cooker with chimney hood, 2 fridges,dishwasher also toasters, juicer, kettle and microwave.The lounge/“snug” is to relax in with 2 comfy sofas CD/TV/DVD and a library of up to date movies. Once again a stunning view from this room. A private lawned garden is at the rear of the house and a well-stocked sunny garden, a covered patio area garden furniture & a BBQ.
