Studio flat for 2, near Croissette & beaches - central.

Beautifully appointed studio apartment in residential zone one minute from the Croisette – six minutes walk from nearest beaches. This air-conditioned accommodation in a quality residence consists of 1 bedroom sleeping 2 in a large comfortable double bed, with en-suite shower room and separated kitchen area. Rue d’Antibes (main shopping zone) 10 minutes walk. Local shops are close by. The train station is 1.5 Km and the Palais des Festivals congress centre is a 2 Km walk along the fabulous Croisette. Wall TV, DVD, WIFI (for laptop), heating, towels and linen included in price. Street parking is free. Notes. It is not suitable for smaller children. It is on ground floor with a view onto planted communal garden belonging to the residence - no external balcony. With the exception of except July and August and some conference periods we welcome short stays of 4 nights minimum.

CANNES - heart of the Cote d'Azur, has been called the capital of the French Riviera. Long sandy beaches stretch between headlands for two kilometres to shelter a wide sunny bay. The town that became popular with European visitors in the 19th. century was made even more so in the 20th., with the arrival of the Film Festival and many famous visitors. The property is ideal for 1 or 2-person off-season breaks or longer summer vacations. From Cannes central station you will find easy and regular rail access to Antibes, Juans les Pins, Grasse, Nice, Monaco. Ferrys from the port to the island nature reserves off coast and day tours to St.Tropez and St.Raphael.

Transport - local or car?

We are often asked if a car is required. If you are already coming by car, Cannes is an excellent base for touring the region from the Var to Italy. But for shorter says - up to several weeks in fact - a car is most certainly not required. Regional transport services - bus, train, and coastal ferries, are excellent and not expensive. You can travel by train from Cannes to Grasse, Antibes, Nice, Villefranche, Monaco, or Vingtemille* (Italy) for day visits or shopping, or (westwards) to Frejus. St.Raphael from where you can take a bus (or boat) to St.Tropez. A ferry trip to the beautiful Iles des Lerins just off the coast of Cannes is a welcome opportunity to swap the bustle of the Riviera for the tranquil peace of unspoiled forest and rocky bathing pools. And the peninsula costal walks of the 'Caps' ... Cap d'Antibes, Cap Ferrat (see the beautiful gardens of the Villa de Rotschild here) etc.. are some of our favourite day excursions.
