Well appointed 4 double bedroom renovated Bergerie in the heart of the Campan Valley. Ideally located for all outdoor pursuits including skiing, walking, cycling and hiking. The property is located close to the charming spa town of Bagneres de Bigorre and is a 10 minute drive to La Mongie/Bareges, the premier ski area of the French Pyrenees. The property is close to both the Parc National de Pyrenees, the Pic du Midi and the GR10. The area offers canoeing, parapenting, horseriding, golfing and fishing.The property is within easy reach of the Lourdes sanctuary.On the ground floor there is an open plan living area with traditional log fire, well fitted kitchen and dining area. There is also a double bedroom and fully equipped bathroom. The living area includes a TV, Satellite, DVD, and CD player. On the first floor there are three further double bedrooms, a shower room and separate WC. A highchair and cot can be provided at no extra cost. Garden Furniture and a BBQ are provided.

From La Mongie take the cable car to the Observatory at the Pic Du Midi(2877m), where from the summit you can see the entire Pyrenean mountain range and all the plains of South west France. The Pic Du Midi is the only high mountain area accessible by mechanical lift for ski mountaineering, for a descent with a 1500m drop. The Pic has a museum and also offers Celestial evenings and nights at the summit. Going through La Mongie is the Col Du Tourmalet and through Payolle the Col d'Aspin, climbs featured in the Tour De France. The area is hugely popular with both road cyclists and mountain bikers. Payolle in the winter is an area used for cross country and snow shoeing and offers 50km of forest trails round the lake. The area in summer is popular with families, walkers and bikers. Bagneres has the relaxing Aquensis thermal spas, Casino, the Country Club Golf Course with views over the valley, mini golf for the kids, parks, and a swimming pool which opens to the outside in the summer.

Notes:

The Bergerie also has a utility room at the end of the property. There is storage here and hanging for outdoor coats etc. The outdoor furniture, table, chairs and parasol are stored here along with the wood for the fire and the clothes airer. Outside the Bergerie is an area where the patio furniture can be put out plus parking for 3 vehicles if required. There is a large grassed area to the front and side of the Bergerie which is available for use. This area is fenced off and although the property is set in 2 acres the top piece of land is for sheep grazing and the coloured fence is a low voltage electric fence to keep sheep in. They wander on and off the land as they like ringing their sheep bells. For children, there is a cot currently situated in bedroom 4. Also provided is the bedding-sheets, duvet with cover, blankets, towels, sink step, potty, training seat, high chair, plastic plates and bowls, cutlery, a few toys and books .
