This lovely little Spanish cottage (Caseta) is a perfect place for people looking to relax in private in quality accomodation and yet within easy reach of the town, beaches and shops. This newly built Spanish caseta provides spectacular views of the mountains and the Andalucian countryside. In the garden there is a large terrace with sun loungers plus a dining area set under a 150 year old Olive tree. Inside the caseta, is a fully equipped kitchen (large welcome pack provided), lounge with dining area and twin room en suite bedroom. The caseta is surrounded by plenty of tropical and Mediterranean plants and fruit trees. Guests are welcome to visit the Caballos al-Kadar specialist centre for pure bread Andalucian horses located to one end of the same 8000 square metres of finca land. The centre is full of tropical plants and exotic trees with also plays host to an exotic bird sanctuary. Novice to experienced horse riders are welcome to go riding either on the beaches or the country.

Notes to the rental rates

• The prices given are for up to two people only. Please add an additional 100 Euro per person per week up to a maximum of four persons. A cot and high chair may be rented for 50 Euro for up to two weeks use. A wireless pay-as-you-go internet solution may be provided for your computer. 20 Euro = 25 Megabytes, 40 Euro = 200 Megabytes and 60 Euro = 1 Gigabyte of downloaded data. (A heavy user will normally use 1 Gigabyte in about 11 days) Discounts on horse riding are given when staying in this property.
  
• A 30% deposit is payable when booking. The balance is payable in Euro cash on arrival. The 200 Euro refundable security deposit is payable on arrival by credit card and will be returned within 5 days of departure providing there is no damage or breakages..

Al Kadar offers the best in horses for your riding holiday. Advanced riders will have the opportunity to ride pure bred Spanish stallions. Other riders will have a choice of other beautiful, kind yet forward moving horses. We have many types of different tack all in excellent condition – generally our riders prefer English style saddles but for the adventurous why not try our very comfortable vaquera saddles – the choice is yours! A weeks holiday generally comprises of 10 hours riding which most people find sufficient as it gives time to explore the beautiful old town of Marbella just 15 minutes drive away, or have a drink in Puerto Banus and watch the sun set over the exquisite yachts moored there.

Al Kadar Bird and Parrot Sanctuary

This sanctuary began with a green winged macaw and a blue fronted Amazon parrot. Soon more birds began to arrive looking for homes or in one sad case abandoned in a tiny cage in a garage when his owners had sold their home, it was nearly a cruel end to a beautiful blue fronted Amazon. He is now happily installed with his new mate in a cage where the birds are able to fly. When the sanctuary began to grow with more birds arriving, I decided to try and pair the birds and provide nesting boxes for them. As it is very difficult to distinguish between the sexes in some species, two feathers are plucked from each bird and sent to a laboratory in Barcelona where the sex of the bird is determined through its DNA. In the summer of 2006 three orange winged Amazon chicks were hatched, one was left in the nest with its parents to raise and two were taken to be hand raised so they may become used to humans and enjoy being handled.
