Kilmore Quay has an annual sea food festival in July and good sea food restaurants all year round. Wexford town is nearby for shopping and historic walks through the medieval town centre. Wexford Opera Festival runs for 1 week in October. Links golf courses within 30 min drive and horse riding centres for treking on local beaches. Coastal walk along the nature reserve set in the sand dunes above the nearby beach. The burrows boasts plant and animal life in abundance. Good area for walking cycling and hiking.
