Airports and Arrival Information:
There are two main airports in the Costa Blanca area and these are Alicante, which is just a 40 minute drive to the property and Murcia/San Javier, a smaller airport offering low budget flights is just a 30 minute drive away. Airport transfers to and from both these airports can be provided at a low cost. Should you wish to hire a car during your stay we are able to arrange this for you, providing you give us ample notice.
Should you be arriving outside shopping hours, awkward times, or Spanish bank holidays when most supermarkets are closed, we are able to arrange the purchase of a Welcome Pack consisting of essential items which will be in the house waiting for you upon your arrival. The basic pack costs just 25 euros and consists of: Bread, Butter, Jam, Milk, Water, Biscuits, Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Fruit Juice, Croissants. Additional items available on request.

Costa Blanca:
The Costa Blanca, on the east coast of Spain, is one of the most beautiful regions of the entire Iberian Peninsula. It enjoys more than 315 sunshine days a year and an average temperature of 18-19C so it's easy to see why the World Health Organisation once named it as having one of the healthiest climates in the world. Thousands of visitors have come on holiday here, fallen in love with the place and made it their permanent home.
Costa Blanca means white coast, a name taken from the endless miles of beautiful sandy beaches which stretch from the cosmopolitan town of Denia in the north to the popular tourist resort of Torrevieja in the south. The northern part of the region is mountainous, relatively green and peppered with groves of orange and olive trees along with colourful orchards of almonds and cherries. The much flatter and drier southern end of the Costa is famous for having the biggest palm gardens and salt flats in the whole of Europe.
The Local Area:
The villa is located in the urbanisation 'El Raso' which is located off the Lemon Tree Road on the outskirts of Guardamar. There are a number of bars, restaurants and an English mini-market shop within a 5 minute walk from the Villa.
The award winning blue flag Guardamar beach is approximately 5 minute drive, which itself is within easy walking distance of restaurants, bars and supermarkets etc. There are several local markets nearby, Guadamar town on Wednesday morning, La Marina on Thursday morning and the largest being the campo de Guardamar Sunday market. The lively town of Torrevieja is a 15 minute drive away.
Guardamar de Segura is situated on the Med coast and boasts 11km of fine sand beaches which are awarded the covetted blue flag for cleanliness and safety year-on-year. There are various entry points to the beach giving the option of busy areas, or quiet secluded areas.
