Le Bar sur Loup is a hilltop medieval village situated in the foothills of the Alps, at the entrance of the Gorges du Loup, but only 30 minutes from the Mediterrean coast and its beaches. A multitude of different attractions and places to visit ranging from Monaco, Nice and St. Tropez on the coast to inland sites such as the Gorges du Verdon, the Var vineyards, the pre-alpes, typical provençal villages and numerous châteaux, monasteries and other historical places of interest. Only 10 minutes from the renowned perfume capital of the world, Grasse with a number of perfume factories and museums. This region is a hiker's and climber's paradise. Direct access from the village to many walks, including via the 'Chemin de Paradis' to the perched village of Gourdon with its medieval château (classed as one of the most beautiful villages in France).
