It has an elegant and serene interior, and is surrounded by large lawned gardens with rose garden & sunny patio. Situated on the Ring of Kerry, ideally placed for touring both Kerry and Cork. There are two championship golf courses nearby & the area is renowned for its beauty and variety of outdoor activities.

We loved it to stay in this lodge

The lodge is beautifully furnished and well-maintained. When it was raining (it sometimes happens in Ireland.. ;-)) we just made a turf fire in the fireplace and enjoyed the smell of the smoke. When the sun was shining it was nice to sit in the rose garden, between the herbs or on the lawn to relax from sight-seeing or walking. It felt like being in a movie sometimes... Comfortable bed, comfortable and well equipped kitchen and a beautiful bathroom.
Kenmare is lovley, nice restaurants, pubs and shops and a good "home base" to explore the ring of Kerry, ring of Beara and Killarney with the surrounding country.

Accurate description in internet. Good contact to owner (Tim) and support (by Pat). Own car is required.
Very well equipped, clean, comfortable, nice furnished and solid lodge accomodating up to four persons. Everything you possibly need is thought of. Not much of a view but very nice garden.
Easy to use heating system. Shower a n d lovely bath tub.
Ideal location to tour Beara and Iveragh peninsula or to visit Killarney. Dingle is also not too far away.
Village of Kenmare nearby is nice and tidy, it offers all from supervalue to postoffice, variety of pubs and restaurants, gardens and small harbour.
Absolutely very good value for money.

Everything to feel right at home at The Lodge

We loved staying at this property - from the moment we walked in we felt right at home. Everything is exactly as described on the website and the Lodge has been furnished and "finished" as if the owners were going to live there - not just functional and practical but also with a touch of luxury. Beautiful china and glasses and candles etc. Little things like a box of matches nearby every candle holder - screaming "burn me". Lovely big fireplace with a wingback chair at either side. A lovely place to sit back in cold weather if its too wet to explore. Fantastic location to explore the Ring of Kerry and the magnificent drive from Kenmare to Bantry. Some other properties we rented had long lists of rules - The Lodge owners assumed you were a responsible person who would treat the house with the respect it deserves. And because everything was functional, clean and practical - it all just worked and rules weren't needed. Highly recommended.
