Salento Sunset: Gallipoli beach and crystalline sea right the corner

The “Salento Sunset” holiday estate is only few steps (200 meters) from the white sandy beach and the crystalline sea and it is situated in Baia Verde, a holiday district of Gallipoli that is only a couple of kilometres from the old centre. It is on the ground floor of a typical Mediterranean styled villa surrounded by the garden, among maritime pines, oleanders and honeysuckles. It boasts three bedrooms, comfortably giving lodging to five people, and two bathrooms with shower. A long pine table with chairs and a cupboard are into an adorable living room with relaxing sofa next to the fireplace that can be used also as a barbecue. Pine sliding doors divide the dining area from a wide kitchen equipped for self-catering. A lovely sun-porch is the proper place for dinners by candlelight, enjoying the coolness of nights. Right over the gate of the property a short foot way heads to the beach.

• 1.All prices listed include bed linen,towels,gas,water,electricity,plan excursions and tourist maps. 2.A non-refundable deposit of 30% on the whole rental rate is required at the time of booking with full balance payable eight weeks prior the stay. 3.If the booking is made within eight weeks of the holiday start date, the full rental rate will be payable immediately. 4.A refundable security deposit of 200,00 Euro is required at the check-in. 5.Rental rates 2009 available.

Fun for the whole family

Spending a holiday in the “Salento Sunset” villa is amazing, especially for children, because the white sandy Baia Verde beach is at hand, almost out of the doorstep, so they can enjoy the whole day swimming, diving, playing beach-volley, while adults can finally free their mind from job activities, attending an amusing Latin-American dance lesson or relax sunbathing, drinking something cooler. Sunset on the beach is gorgeous, everywhere is calm and it is the right moment for a long tonic walk into the sea that is warm and not deep, you can walk for miles! At night there is a fine restaurant-disco-pub in the pine-wood over the street, in front of the beach, where people can appreciate our typical Mediterranean local food and enjoy the dancing.

Charming sea places to visit

From the panoramic motorway Lecce-Gallipoli-S.Maria di Leuca, that is situated at the back of Baia Verde, you can reach the most beautiful places of Salento. Porto Selvaggio, for example, a gorgeous natural park on the Ionic coast from where, after a twenty minutes walk through the maritime pine-wood, you will discover a tiny beach in front of a blue sky sea: it is a paradise! S. Caterina and S. Maria al Bagno, little villages of fishermen, there you can taste delicious fresh fish and from the hill, at night, you admire the charm of the lighted gulf of Gallipoli that seems like a nativity scene. Leuca is the extreme part of the Salento Peninsula and is very easy to reach through the picturesque seaside road. From there, at sunrise, you can watch the suggestive scenery of the pink Albanian mountains. Otranto,on the Adriatic coast, is the historic town of martyrs. They can be visited in the cathedral, here is also an antique mosaic floor representing the tree of life.
