Villa Mariette is on an award winning development in the pretty and very popular village of Peyia. This spacious three storey villa has been stylishly furnished for a very comfortable self catering holiday for up to six guests. The open plan lounge dining area has a contemporary L shaped sofa which converts into a comfortable double bed, with coffee table, TV and DVD. The open plan dining area is adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen with cooker, hob, fridge, washing machine and microwave. The master bedroom on the second floor has patio doors with sea views and the second bedroom has twin beds. The family bathroom has bath, shower, sink and WC.Stairs lead up to the large private roof terrace with a convenient small kitchen, outside shower and stunning views. Guests can enjoy a dip in the large communal swimming pool to the front of the villa or visit Coral Bay just 3 kms away. Villa Mariette is in a great location close to village amenities and lots of things to see and do.

Peyia area information : Peyia is a very popular and charming village situated on a gently sloping hillside overlooking Coral Bay. It is very traditional in look and feel with little winding streets and traditional stone houses with an old village church and shops at the centre. Peyia offers visitors a good selection of amenities including banks, doctors, two supermarkets, a fantastic bakery, butchers, fishmongers, DVD shop and launderette. It also offers a good selection of traditional tavernas where you can try the local fish or meat meze, or you can try Chloes that offers themed food evenings throughout the week.

Coral Bay area information : The famous sandy beaches at Coral Bay are just a few minutes drive from Peyia and Coral Bay can be seen from Peyia. Coral Bay offers visitors an alternative selection of shops and restaurants with everything from Italian, Chinese, Cypriot and Indian cuisine. Several of the larger hotels in Coral Bay have very good health spas.

Walking and Climbing in the Akamas Peninsular : Peyia edges the Akamas Peninsular a preserved area of natural beauty and habitat which is protected for the enjoyment of walkers and climbers. If you are a keen walker, climber or mountain biker you can enjoy guided tours and hire mountain bikes to venture into the Troodos mountain area.

Ski: Cyprus offers both sun shine and snow. The Troodos Mountains offer good skiing in the winter and great climbing and mountain biking terrain in the summer.

This was my first visit to cyprus, and it won't be my last. I loved the people, the weather, and the lovely villa. Even though it was December we enjoyed breakfast and on the roof terrace every day, swam in the pool, and enjoyed cooking in the villa or eating out at the restaurants scattered by the sea and in the mountains.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Lovely Cyprus

We had a lovely Christmas getaway break staying in Villa Mariette. The villa was clean, comfortable and very well furnished, with wonderful views over the sea (the sunsets were magnificent!). The roof terrace was excellent, ideal for a leisurely breakfast in the sun. We enjoyed some lovely weather and it felt great to be lying on the pretty nearby beach watching people swimming in the sea on Boxing Day! The village centre with bars, tavernas and a great tardis-like supermarket was within walking distance and we found the locals friendly and welcoming.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt in der Villa Mariette

Wir waren vier Erwachsene und haben uns in der Villa Mariette wohlgefühlt. Die Prospektbeschreibung des Appartements hält was sie verspricht, alle Elektrogeräte inkl. Klimaanlage haben einwandfrei funktioniert. Die Kaffeemaschine hat allerdings gefehlt. Nach einer Woche wurde die Wohnung gereinigt, Bettwäsche und Handtücher wurden gewechselt.Die Erstreinigung hätte etwas gründlicher ausfallen dürfen. Gestört haben auch die Schlafzimmertüren, die sich bei stärkerem Luftzug geöffnet haben und die Jalousien, die bei Wind geklappert haben. Dass die Villa ca. 3-4 km vom Strand entfernt ist, ist zwar schade, aber darauf wird in der Beschreibung hingewiesen. Doch abgesehen von diesen Kleinigkeiten war die Villa sehr gemütlich. Vor allem die Dachterrasse mit Blick auf das Meer haben wir sehr genossen und der gemeinschaftliche Swimming Pool war sauber. Viel los ist im Ort nicht, aber es gibt ein paar nette Lokale, wo man gut essen kann. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis des Appartements ist auf jeden Fall gerechtfertigt und deshalb empfehlen wir es gerne weiter.

Wonderful Holiday

Situated in a quiet part of the busy village of Peyia, this well-equiped apartment helped to make our first visit to Cyprus a huge success. We especially liked the spacious roof terrace - ideal for family breakfasts with a view and romantic dinners for two! The outdoor shower was perfect for cooling off after a trip to the beach or a swim in the communal pool.
