Photos and Description of this Roncegno holiday villa Set in a beautiful landscape of mountains and lakes in the Italian Dolomites.

This is a big property: 396 square metres of living space! 4 double, 3 twin, 1 single. Sleeps 15. Villa Gordon is a spacious house ideal for large family or group holidays. More information is available on the web site. Built in 1906 in the style of an Austrian hunting lodge, the rooms are airy and well proportioned. There is a wide veranda around the house, ideal for outdoor meals, and the house is set in four acres of pasture and woodland. The facilities are all up-to-date: the house has recently been rewired and the hot water plant replaced, while the kitchen has been re-equipped with a five ring gas hob/oven, dish washer, refrigerator and so on. There is also a laundry room available with a fully automatic washing machine. The village of Roncegno is five minutes walk away and provides all your practical needs: bank, supermarket, post office etc, as well as a number of cafes and restaurants.

Villa Gordon is near the village of Roncegno, 30k from Trento, regional capital. Set in the stunning Dolomite mountains, the area offers many activities. Swimming, wind-surfing, sailing and water-skiing are available on two large lakes nearby. The lakes are clean, with well appointed Lidos and beaches ideal for children. Pedalos and boats are available for rent, and the beaches have safe play areas for children, as well as bars and cafes for the older generation. There is a huge selection of mountain walks - all clearly marked - in the landscape around, as well as many caves and First World War forts to investigate. Mountain bikes or pony trekking are both popular ways of discovering hidden parts of the mountains. The mountains around have many rifugios and 'baitas' which offer simple but much welcome hospitality and cooking - formaggio sfuso, salami and sausages with polenta, washed down with wine, beer and prosecco. Trento nearby is a fine medieaval/renaissance town.
