Additional information about rental rates

  • We require a non-refundable deposit upon booking of 25% of the total rent. The balance is due 6 weeks [42 days] prior to the commencement of the holiday. If the booking is made within 6 weeks of your arrival then the full rent is payable upon booking. Payment can be made by cheque . We also accept paypal online [although this does attract a small surcharge] or by debit card/maestro over the telephone. We also require a security deposit of £150 to be paid upon booking.
    All prices shown are in pounds sterling and includes electricity, bed linen, towels, use of the telephone [for all landline local calls - national calls,mobiles and premium rate numbers are chargable], use of the wireless internet.

The property had the most fantastic view of mevagissey harbour and the sea.We used to sit outside some evenings with a glass of wine and just watch the fishing boats arriving and departing.Shame it does not catch the afternoon sun and there is not a lot of garden area outside to sit in.The property was comfortably furnished and clean.We found the hot water system could have been better as when one of us had a shower or bath the other was left with cold water.We ate in 3 of the restaurants in the village and the food was okish.The best was salamander.Our favourite places to eat were tresanton st mawes for sunday lunch expensive but worth it.The nares head for lunch very good and stunning views.Trevalsa court hotel mevagissey we tried for lunch and dinner again views are stunning and the food was good, when we had dinner it was a lovely evening so we ate outside.There are very few places in mevagissey were you can sit outside in the evening which is a shame.
Owner's Response: We are always very keen to hear of any problems with our apartments as this is the only way we can address them, and we have now had the boiler checked and a part replaced, so there should be plenty of hot water. We are pleased that our guests found the apartment comfortable and clean as we strive very hard to ensure that the apartment feels welcoming and just like "home from home" - something we are sure helped us to maintain our 5 star rating which we have now held for 2 years.
In terms of the restaurants, we include an extensive list within the apartment of both those that are local and those further afield and we cover a wide variety of price points so there is hopefully a good choice from bar snacks to the sensational. We also encourage our guests to leave helpful comments about the places they have visited so that the information is current - particularly with regard to the quality of the food.
