Well situated in the middle of Tuscany, you can reach Capovento from Florence airport (45 minutes) or from Pisa airport (90 minutes). From Capovento you can easily reach also Lucca or the see side, in the area of Maremma (60 minutes), or Volterra (60 minute), the ancient capital of Etruscan people. Capovento is also situated in the middle of Chianti Classico wine production area, were you can have taste of the famous wine in the cave of the producers, but you can easily reach also Montalcino (area of production of Brunello) in almost 60 minutes, or Montepulciano, production area of the Nobile of Montepulciano (70 minutes). The Chianti Classico area offers you also typical little villages and ancient cities as Radda in Chianti, Castellina in Chianti, Monteriggioni and the well known Greve, with a typical square.

  • A 30% deposit is required when the reservation is confirmed by Capovento. The deposit should be made by wire transfer or credit card. In the case of cancellation made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date, 50% of the deposit will be returned. The deposit is forfeited when the cancellation takes place in the 30 days prior to arrival date. Final payment is due 15 days before arrival by wire transfer.
    Rental rate includes all taxes and: bed linen and bath towels which will be changed each 3 days; buffet breakfast; mountain bike use.

Special dinner only for the guests: Daniela, who is always available to prepare dinner on request, cooks with typical products of the Tuscan country and using old recipes of the Chianti tradition. Every day we propose to our guests a combination of typical Tuscan dishes selected from the specialties that Capovento has to offer along with excellent Tuscan wines that provide the perfect accompaniment. Such menus are prepared using only fresh produce of those in season; the genuineness of the dishes is guaranteed by the use of typical products of quality and from a traditional cuisine based on simple but genuine recipes. Our Guests are also welcome to ask for a particular dish from the Tuscan tradition if they don’t find it on the menu as well as those proposed on a daily basis.

Thuesday visit of Siena: Each Tuesday afternoon is offered a free guided tour of the city of Siena (Museums, Churches, ....). The clients have only to pay the ticket for the museums (about 9,00 Euro per person = 3 museums).
